SuperJam: Tribute To Tennessee Featuring Kamasi Washington And Friends
Manchester, TN 2016 [no label, 2CD]
This Tent, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Manchester, TN; June 11, 2016. Fairly to very good audience recording.
Thanks to rumbleseat for sharing the show at Dime.
rumbleseat noted:
The SuperJam is a Bonnaroo institution, which brings together musicians from the four-day festival for a night of magic. This year, Kamasi Washington was asked to host the event and, for the theme, he picked “Heart, Soul & Spirit - A Tribute to Tennessee”. The featured songs all had ties to Tennessee, either by way of their composer or their most popular performer. These performances can be hit or miss, given that the performers have had only a brief run-through (or none!) just before the show. When it works, it’s incredible.
