ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS
Chicago 1977 [no label, 1CD]

Live at The Riviera, Chicago, IL; December 2, 1977 (also listed as December 3 and December 7). Very good FM broadcast.

We had shared a version of this show back in 2007 (click here).

Thanks to mdshrk1 - who recorded and shared this version (which was re-broadcast on October 30, 2016) at The Traders’ Den; and to glasnostrd19for keeping it alive at Dime.

glasnostrd19 noted:

Elvis Costello is an artist who isn’t usually on top of my play list, and a lot of that is because my favorite era of his is 1977-78, and most of those recordings are from rather aged and/or generated FM or audience tape recordings. This one was re-broadcast recently on one of the few stations left in America cool enough to do stuff like this (WXRT) and was recorded onto HD and kindly shared recently at The Traders’ Den by mdshrk1. Thanks a bunch to mdshrk1 for recording and sharing this. If you like ’70s EC, you will like this. Good serenade for your Cubuppance parties tonight.
