RICK PARFITT R.I.P. 1948-2016

Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt has died in hospital in Spain on December 24, 2016, his manager has said. He was 68. Parfitt died from a severe infection (septicaemia) after going to hospital on Thursday following complications to a shoulder injury. Parfitt’s musical partnership with Francis Rossi, which spanned five decades, made Status Quo one of British rock’s most enduring acts. He had been due to launch a solo career with an album and autobiography planned for 2017. Status Quo found global success with hits including Rockin’ All Over The World and Whatever You Want. - BBC

  3. Also RIP , Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds , very sad as well , first Carrie and then her mom one day later , I’m sure the grief is what did it , not supposed to outlive your kids , goes against the natural order of things , If you can catch Carries film debut in Shampoo 1975 , starring Warren Beatty , Julie Christy , Goldie Hawn , only a couple of scenes but very memorable and scene stealing , as she and Warren will leave you in stitches with laughter , That scene for those who haven’t seen it told you how talented she was and you knew she would be a star , she was only 18 at the time , Debbie of course was a legend , Singin in the rain , Unsinkable Molly Brown among many others from hollywoods Golden age , Anyway dosent really surprise me that she would pass right after her daughter , Unfortunatly more are probably coming , still have 3 days left this year

  6. Apart from dirty waters…. Can’t judge a Brother for life by his own downfalls. A master is a master and a great band is a great band. And I’m not alone. And that’s a fact.
