ERIC CLAPTON
Just Four Of Us [Eternal Records SB 5, 2CD]

Live at the Providence Civic Center, Providence, RI; April 26, 1987. Very good soundboard.

Thanks to slowhander; and petzanpz for sharing the show at The Traders’ Den.

slowhander noted:

This is a great soundboard recording and it captured a great performance. This is the show prior to the gig in the MSG in NY which is more widely available also in great soundboard sound. Usual setlist but probably a better performance than other nights from this tour. Personal favourites have to be Sheriff and Holy Mother.

A number of shows in 1986 and 1987 were recorded for the release of a live album. However, with the pending release of the then-groundbreaking “Crossroads” box set, the project was shelved lest it competed commercially. There are a number of ROIO releases purporting to be the ‘Unreleased Live Album’ and, to the best of my knowledge, most are based only on speculation as to what the track list of the speculative live album would have been, and sourced from the various soundboards that have made their way into circulation. So, we really have no idea what an actual official release might have contained, but I’d like to think that this particular release might be a really good guess as to what it might have included. - geetarz

These shows were recorded for a live album, One More Car One More Rider, that was never released. The title was revived for the 2001 official live album.

By Eli on Mar 31, 2017

  19. “You are becoming verbally disoriented and incoherent”

That’s because you’re too stupid and full of yourself to understand how pathetic is the show you’re offering to everyone here; Nuts on your chin everyday of the year, again and again, looks like a real 9 to 5 job hey ? Besides don’t use words whose meaning you don’t understand just because you’ve just learned them. You don’t make any sense when you’re out of context. Stay on the monosyllabic ones you’re used to, like nuts and chin for instance. Cause never forget Homo Moronicus means … you’re a MORON !!!

By Dumbell Moronzini on Mar 31, 2017

  20. Eli, we know you’re sad about being caught in the open about your Mancini scam, but now get over it !

By Everyone Else on Big O is a MORON !!! on Mar 31, 2017

  24. I saw the Clapton / Collins / Phillinganes/ East line-up in Birmingham UK, July 1986 - an outstanding show.

Collins sang In The Air Tonight, not present on this US tour set-list.
