BOB DYLAN & TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS
Minneapolis 1986 [Charlie Miller Soundboard, 2CD]

Live at the Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome, Minneapolis, MN; June 26, 1986. Very good soundboard.

Thanks to Charlie Miller; Rick Pavek; and billydee for sharing the show at Dime.

billydee noted:

Tape flips in Breakdown and In The Garden. Thanks Rick Pavek and, of course, Charlie Miller for all he does!

Regtrademark, Dime:

WOW! This an incredible find. This is the rare case where the tape sounds 100 times better than what the audience heard at the concert! This was the worst sounding show I ever attended. It was the first concert ever put on at the Metrodome, the sound bounced around so much you couldn’t make out anything. I always suspected that I had seen a great performance, but who could tell? There was an audience tape that accurately captured how crappy it sounded in the seats, but now THIS! Thanks!…

I was there and that old tape was what it actually sounded like in the Thunderdome. This new soundboard sounds great, though.

  2. I fucked Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson and Rick Danko in 1974 during Bobs tour with the band , Levon Helm liked to watch while he played with himself , Richard was too stoned to join in and Garth was too straight, a real square. Bob , Robbie and Rick all had big cocks , especially Robbie who’s cock looked like a python .

  3. This happened backstage of course.

By Bebe Buell on Sep 20, 2017

  4. I also fucked Tom Petty and Mike Campbell in 1980 during the damn the torpedos tour , one time was enough as their cocks were quite small , a real disappointment.

  5. The adolescent troll calling himself Bebe is desperate for attention this evening.

  7. Msybe the adolescent troll can be banned ?

  8. I believe Bebe Buell is a woman , not a man Willis .I googled her and she exists. She is a rock groupie who obviously likes talking of her experiences.

  9. I have always been a fan of Dylan and Petty and loved this collaboration, however Bobs voice by this time was getting screechy and he couldn’t belt out the songs like in the past . If only he had his voice from the 74 band tour or Rolling Thunder it would have been great. As it is it’s still very good The heartbreakers were an awesome band especially back then with Howie Epstein

  10. Could someone please tell me if guitars 101 is having problems? Have had trouble accessing the site , also Filefactory keeps popping up wanting you to download via premium only and says many files are deleted. Is there a problem there as well ? Thank you

By GW on Sep 20, 2017

  11. Thank you very much for this! At one time, I had a compilation boot CD that contained all of the covers that Dylan & the Heartbreakers did on the True Confessions tour, which was very handy. Does anyone know what the name of that disc is?

  12. Thanks, Big O, for all the great posts over the years…

But now, it’s good-bye for me.

Whoever these hijackers are, talking moronic nonsense over every post, have ruined it.

You either won’t or can’t filter this nonsense.

All the great commentary, relevant to the postings, is now gone. I guess that is what the idiot or idiots is/are trying to accomplish.

    So thanks and so long…

By Mr. Jimmy on Sep 21, 2017

  13. Mr Jimmy , I’ve learned just to ignore the idiots here . After all it’s the music that should draw people here not the comments. At least that’s how it should be .

  14. Bebe ,it’s too bad that you were too young to have experienced Uncle Miltie. He was every size queens dream . Many men’s room sightings confirm this .He was so big that he carried a platform to the men’s room to take a leak .

  15. Thanks BigO truly extraordinary addition to the ROIO’s of his Bobness and not least for the notes from Dime and the sound quality for what was clearly a problematic sound issue live at this auditorium but being a soundboard we get to hear it in extraordinary detail if one of balance, fluctuation and some tape wobble it is well worth having for sure. The song list too is worth noting and is fascinating as is all his work with Tom and his band.
    Thank you!

  16. I’ve seen so many Dylan shows that the cover songs are often the highlight of the show for me, and the ‘86 tour had some great covers. It will be nice to have them in good sound quality. Thanks

  23. RIP Tom Petty, the bright, steady star that you could always count on for good performances, and for whom never a bad thing could be said about, good rep. Underappreciated. God bless his family.

  24. Amen ScarRad, Havent been able to keep eyes dry since i heard. What a loss .World is fucked up.Madman blows away almost 60 people in Vegas and wounds many more, then we lose Tom Petty, makes one question the meaning of life and what its all about.

By Bill on Oct 5, 2017

  25. Well, Bill, I’ve known quite a few that have died, 2 by murder, one of whom I was an eyewitness. Others were killed or died by other means. Two had been my girlfriends in their 20’s. And my wife died at 53. My second girlfriend was buried before I was told about it. To accept it, I had to see her gravestone….

By ScarRad on Oct 5, 2017

  26. Bill ….I had never been to that cemetery before, 2 hours away. It was twilight and there was no one there to help me. There were thousands of grave markers, and 3 sections to search through. I got out of the car. Being a believer, I said to Jesus, “how am I ever gonna find it, God?” I heard a still small voice. “Walk up 6 rows”. so I did. Then he told me “turn right. walk down.” So I did. I ended up walking 2/3 of the way down this long center section. Then I heard him say “stop. look down” and right in front of me was her marker. From that I knew God cared for me and he’s there to hear us, if we but ask.
