Plus Bonus Disc 4: Bob and the Cleveland connection from 1973.
Various dates and venues. Very good FM broadcasts.

Thanks to analogkid6103 for sharing the tracks on the net.

analogkid6103 noted:

Despite having released classic album after classic album during his lengthy career, the best way to witness the extraordinary power of Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band remains to be in a live setting. Indeed, the great man’s most successful record of all has been his still hugely popular 1976 release, Live Bullet.

This enticing three-CD set features a selection of FM radio broadcasts of live shows from Seger and his group recorded between 1974 and 1983 - the period which, for most fans, was Bob’s ‘Golden Era’. Kicking off with a show played at the famous Ebbet’s Field club in Denver, CO, at the end of ’74, moving to his 1980 gig from the Cobo Arena in his hometown of Detroit, MI, and culminating with a classic concertfrom Hartford, CT in 1983.

Plus only in analogkid Deluxe edition I dug around and found more shit cause thats what I do: It is a set from 1973 which makes this a 10-year journey through the music of Bob and the fellas from Motown. Detroit was not always a poster city for urban renewal. But what of Lazarus?

  7. Thanks for these great Bob Seger shows . 98 per cent of us who come here want classic rock and not that fake modern so called music . This music is what we want so keep this type of music on the front burner and no modern shows .

By Derrick on Jan 4, 2018

  8. John Cougar Mellencamp is better than Bob Seger ‘ Tom Petty ‘ Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen combined. John is the greatest singer of all time ‘ also the greatest songwriter. Please give John his due and post some of his shows.

By GW on Jan 4, 2018

  9. Scarecrow is the greatest rock album ever . Pink Houses is rocks greatest song of all time

By GW on Jan 4, 2018

  10. Look at yourself Derrick/GW, not even happy when they post the music you want. Do you even like to listen to music or do you just come here for arguments?

By BetaMax on Jan 4, 2018

  11. I just complimented big o for this post and asked to please keep this type of music coming. No complaints here this time ‘ also I personally don’t care for Johnny Cougar so don’t lump me in with that guy ‘ although he’s better than the shit out there today

By Derrick on Jan 5, 2018

  12. I’m certain that saying you don’t want any modern fake so called music, and no modern shows, is a complaint. Most people listen to music that’s good regardless of the date on it. You think John Cougar is better than any modern music??

By BetaMax on Jan 5, 2018

  13. Also-if you and GW aren’t the same person, how is it that neither of you seem to understand what quotation marks do?

By BetaMax on Jan 5, 2018

  14. Dude chill out , don’t think I insulted anybody. I’ve said before that I hate most modern music and like classic rock . Also I don’t care much fir Cougar . Love Seger and Petty a lot though ‘ so don’t lump me with that other guy . Everyone has an opinion and I have a right to express mine like you or anyone else does . Relax dude

By Derrick on Jan 5, 2018

  15. As I said I don’t care for Johnny Cougar (Mellencamp) or whatever he calls himself these days but that’s just personal preference. I’m sure he’s talented.more than this modern crap . That’s for sure

By Derrick on Jan 5, 2018

  16. Great posting as usual Mr Big-O these three shows can now go into my collection of another great FM show you posted a few years ago. 1977 MARCH 21, Boston, MA. a Show broadcast on WBCN 104.1 FM a former great free form progressive radio station that no longer is around. Hey folks lets stop with who is better than whoever and enjoy these “Old Bastard” shows for what they are ‘Great’! It is also nice to see not much perversion on here as funny as it was. Please lets keep it about the music in 2018, OK? Can we also help the cause here and donate money that is needed?

By Carolyn king Pierce on Jan 5, 2018

  17. I’m all chilled out, relaxing, etc and I didn’t say you insulted anyone did I, I said you complain. I’m sorry that you think johnny cougars more talented than any modern music, that must really suck.I lump you with the other guy because you both mistakenly use quotation marks instead of commas and aren’t aware of it-now what are the chances of that not being the same guy?

By BetaMax on Jan 6, 2018

  18. I like some modern music ‘ but the bands and artists that are worth a crap you can’t find on the radio anymore. The reason you get to hear some of the great legends still is because of oldies stations still playing classic rock . Those guys wouldn’t have a chance if they started out today .

By Derrick on Jan 6, 2018

  19. No radio station plays the new stuff by the old timers anymore only the older hits
