Elvis On Tour Deluxe Box Set [Amiga, CD1/2 of 9]

Disc 1: The Mock Up Studio Session. RCA’s Studio C, Hollywood, CA; March 30, 1972. Disc 2: Rehearsal at RCA’s Studio C. Hollywood, CA; March 31, 1972. Very good soundboard.

Amiga International will release, Elvis On Tour: 45th Anniversary Edition CD/Book boxset, a long-awaited LIMITED-EDITION boxset featuring nine CDs, all remastered, of all known recordings made for the Golden Globe Award-winning concert documentary ELVIS ON TOUR. This will include the premiere of the complete rehearsal recorded in Buffalo, NY on April 5, 1972, with three previously unreleased performances.

When considering the lack of attention paid to this 1972 concert documentary, it seems a shame that so few official releases have emerged. It is for this reason that Amiga International presents this deluxe package to honor the excellent recordings made for the much neglected ‘Elvis On Tour’ film.

This set was released in December 2017.

  2. This Studio Session (disc 1) and Rehearsal part 1 (disc 2) structured enviroment put Elvis forward in a far better light than any of the Vegas live crap later on did. I look forward to the rest of these Elvis on Tour documents.

  3. I agree with ScarRad . Elvis live in the seventies was repetitive and silly from the performances to The cheesy outfits . Too bad there arnt any good fifties shows when he was truly great . These studio takes are very good though. Here it’s about the music not the schitk

By Bill on Apr 18, 2018

  4. Elvis of course wasted an entire decade of the sixties by not performing live for several years while doing those god awful cheesy movies . Col
Parker by the way turned down roles for him in West side story and Midnight Cowboy . The later role of Joe Buck went to Jon Voight and made him a star.

  5. I kindly request (if available)the back cover of CD2. Thank you

  7. Did Elvis have a big penis line Frank Sinatra . It seems that I remember he had one from reading a rock magazine back in the 70s

By Connie M Smith on Apr 19, 2018

  8. No he did not . Elvis was actually quite small which is why I kept having affairs and ended up divorcing him . He used to love watching me with Tom Jones . Now that was a large man

  12. Elvis in the 70s is kind of sneaky good. I’ve got the Elvis at Stax set that came out a few years ago, there’s some really good stuff on there
