LILY ALLEN
Sydney 2009 [no label, 1CD]

Live at Studio 227, ABC, Sydney, Australia; March 3, 2009. Very good FM broadcast.

Listening to the Lily Allen catalogue is like visiting Epcot or Las Vegas: the songs are set randomly all over the world of musical genres (Afropop? Check! Cajun stomp? Check! and so on) and all burnished to a high shine. This music is light as helium, a sonic souffle covered in musical meringue that melts in ear. It’s all carbs and calories: it’s probably not very good for you and, eventually, it would probably make you sick, but IT IS DELICIOUS! People go to Epcot and buy churros for a reason. Enjoy. - mrsaureus

Thanks to original taper and uploader
Azure Sea; and to flamestripes for keeping the show alive at Dime.

flamestripes noted:

A very nice, intimate acoustic show similar to the same period KCRW appearance but with an added bass player and performed in front of 30 or so people. This is a blend of the two broadcasts as a foil against DJ interruption. Tiny, insignificant click at 0:12 on ‘I Could Say’ on both broadcasts.
