A Song For You CD4/5 [Sandoz SNZCD2007, 2CD]

Disc 4: Flying Burrito Brothers - Palomino Club, North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA; June 8, 1969. Very good KMET-FM. Disc 5: Flying Burrito Brothers - Seattle Pop Festival, Gold Creek Park, Woodinville, WA; July 27, 1969. Very good KOL-FM.

American singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist Gram Parsons is best known for his work with the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers. He also popularized what he called “Cosmic American Music”, a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock. He recorded as a solo artist and with the International Submarine Band, the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers. His relatively short career was described by AllMusic as “enormously influential” for country and rock, “blending the two genres to the point that they became indistinguishable from each other.” His health deteriorated due to several years of drug abuse and he died in 1973 at the age of 26. The official cause of death was an overdose of morphine and alcohol. - wikipedia

  11. As you can tell, the “FYI” above is not from me. HHH/Derrick/AntiChrist/and his/her other names wishes to draw me into their nonsense. It’s worked up until now, but I won’t be responding to them anymore after this post-I’m sure he/she will go to great lengths to try to suck me into a fight again(after all SUCKING is what he/she does best).

By Mark on Aug 23, 2019

  12. Thanks to Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris went from being a self-described “Joan Baez-wannabe” to having a love for country music. As if his musical legacy wasn’t enough, he helped launch the career of one of the greatest country music artists ever.

By Mark on Aug 23, 2019

  13. Mark, I have better things to do with my time than spar with you. Again, HHH, Derrick and the others are not me. We are all different people
