By walt on Sep 26, 2019

  11. Hey Anti , off topic here but wanted your take on the current state of baseball. Fuck man , to me the game has gone into the toilet. I fuckin hate inter league play . The World Series used to be special. Two teams that never played each other . Remember as a kid the cardinals vs the Red Sox . Gibson vs Lonborg 67. Next year Cardinals vs tigers . Gibson.vs McClain and Mickey Lolich

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  12. Thanks for bringing us even more Dylan. In my opinion he is the greatest of all time, head and shoulders above everyone except possibly Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen.

By Mark on Sep 26, 2019

  13. Must be because Derrick wishes he was black. Derrick probably is probably tiny. Very tiny

By walt on Sep 26, 2019

  14. Well said Mark. Sad there are so many pathetic trolls on here

By walt on Sep 26, 2019

  15. Ule, we jews don’t go to your job and slap the dick out of your nmouth!

By walt on Sep 26, 2019

  16. Fuckin Lou Brock , Curt Flood , Tim McCarver , Julian Javier Orlando Cepeda and Gibson on the mound for the cards , Red Sox had Yaz coming off the triple crown in 67 , Rico petrocelli , Reggie Smith ‘ George Boomer Scott . And Lonborg pitchin .Gibson sinning game seven over Lonborg

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  17. 68 series had cards vs tigers Gibson with a1.12 era for the cards fuckin 28 complete games out of 34 starts close to 300 Ks and 300 innings pitched vs Denny McClain who was 31 6. for Detroit. Tigers had Al Kaline ‘ Jim Northup ‘ Norm Cash ‘ Willie Horton ‘ Mickey Stanley ‘Dic McCallife . And Mickey Lolich who was series mvp

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  18. Saw Gibson strike out 17 tigers in game one beatin McClain. Cards was up 3 games to 1 and lost 3 straight. Lolich winning game seven over Gibson

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  19. Fuckin scoreless in the seventh inning., when with two outs and runners on second and third Curt Flood stumbles in the outfield chasing a fly ball by Northrup . Ball goes over his head and two runs score. . Tigers added two more after that . That was all Lolich needed to wrap it up

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  20. Cards was my team back then . 68 series still pisses me off to this day . Damn Curt Flood for losin that ball in the outfield and fuck the home plate umpire in game five who said Brock was out at the plate

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  21. Lou touched the base with his foot before Freehan made the tag

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  22. Derrick you have a great memory. my team was the orioles. I hate the game today. Everything is about analytics, exit velocity and all that bs. I liked when starting pitchers pitched 9 innings. Jim Palmer beating Sandy Koufax in game 2 of the 66 world series. The orioles were the last team to have 4 20 game winners. The game to me today sucks

By THE ANTICHRIST on Sep 26, 2019

  23. Athletes today get injured so easily because their bodies are so ripped and tight like a rubber band stretched to its breaking point. The players of yesteryear look like midgets compared to the athletes of today. I wanna see this monkey Zion Williamson get the shale beat out of him. Years ago it was about the team. Today its about the money. The best World Series I ever watched was the 75 series between the red sox and the reds. Today I couldn’t care less

By THE ANTICHRIST on Sep 26, 2019

  24. Anti ‘ the interleague play sucks . It took the mystique out of the World Series. It was exiting to see two teams play who never met before. I also hate the fuckin wild card

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  25. The thing I hate the most though is what has happened to starting pitching. Pitchers bein takin out of games after 4 or 5 innings. Teams today probably go thru 5 or 6 pitchers a game . Back in the day most starters went the distance. I hate this mother fuckin analytics bullshit . Who the fuck decided pitchers couldn’t pitch complete games no more . Can you imagine this happening to Bob Gibson’ Sandy Koufax ‘ Juan Marichal ‘ Jim Palmer ‘ Catfish Hunter ‘ Tom Seaver ‘ Don Drysdale?

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  26. Also the fuckin pitch count bullshit . 100 pitches and the manager takes you out . Even if you is still pitching good . I saw an interview once where Denny McClain said he once thru 250 pitches in one game in an extra inning game . Pitched again on three days rest and thru another 175 pitches . Pitchers today get hurt more and have more arm trouble than the old timers did and they throw less than half as much

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  27. Modern athletes are bigger ‘ faster ‘ stronger than the past , so why is they hurt more often?

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  28. It is a sad reality that you are simply jealous that you were not born Jewish.

By Shabtai Zissel on Sep 26, 2019

  29. Anti , I remember the 75 series too . Wasn’t a fan of either team but great series anyway. Pete Rose ‘ Johnny Bench ‘ Ken Griffey senior ‘ George Foster ‘ Dave Conception for the reds ‘ Yaztremski ‘ Fisk ‘ Louie Tiant on the mound . Remember game in extra innings when Carlton Fisk hit the bomb to win it urging the ball to stay fair by jerkin his arms .to tie the series for Boston 3 3 . Cincinnati Reds won the next game 7 to win the series.

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  30. Thanks Big O! I love these type of ROIOs with a thesis or recreating things with other versions like soniclovenoize does especially when they’re done well as in here. This is quality! The back cover mentions a booklet?
Anyway always enjoy some more Bobby!
    Thanks!

By swappers on Sep 26, 2019

  31. Great World Series I remember as a kid were 65 dodgers over twins ‘ 67 Cardinals over Red Sox ‘ 64 ‘ cardinals over Yankees ‘ 68 Tigers over Cardinals 71 Pirates over Orioles ‘ 72 ‘ As over Reds ‘ 73 ‘ As over Mets ‘ 75 ‘ Reds over Red Sox ‘ 79’ Pirates over Orioles again , sorry Anti . Last classic series I remember was 86 Mets over Red Sox when the ball went thru Buckners legs at first base . I started losing interest after that cause if all the fuckin steroid bullshit and all the relief pitchers. Starters was being takin out of games earlier ‘ pitch counts and all the other bullshit

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  32. Even football has changed ‘ can’t touch the QB anymore or the refs will throw flags . That’s why you see all these silly fuckin numbers , 50 touchdown passes a season and all that bullshit . Defenses can’t do shit anymore. It ain’t football it’s touch

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  33. And all the fuckin injuries. When players was smaller and lighter in the 60s and 70s you didn’t have all these guys gettin hurt . Shit they smoked cigarettes and drank too Deacon Jones was 260 pounds playing defensive end for the rams . That’s a linebacker today . Hell that coon QB Cam Newton weighs that much .

By Derrick on Sep 26, 2019

  34. A really eye opening selection mainly from 65/66 with some beautiful outtakes from the Columbia Studios sessions and some far from acoustic tracksfrom the UK tour of 66 with Robbie, Richard, Rick, Garth and Levon putting their all into some of Dylan’s best early songs. Great to compare the real Royal Albert Hall version of ‘Rolling Stone’ with the more infamous version which, though originally billed as being played at that London venue was actually performed at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester a fortnight earlier (the one where an audience member shouts “Judas” in protest)

By Graeme Wright on Sep 26, 2019

  35. Thanks but Graeme Wright you got it wrong …Levon Helm had boycotted Bob’s tour of the UK and was not there on drums. Look it up. A much better drummer has control of the sticks. Mickey Jones.

By Canute on Sep 26, 2019

  36. Haters: Your hole is equal to the sum of yer parts…

By harmon on Sep 26, 2019

  37. Dylan is either rolling stoned or consuming liquids at Royal Albert Hall by the way he sounds. The tambourines are acetate-popping sadly.

By ScarRad on Sep 26, 2019

  38. Chowdergun! What, you forgot to pick up your booklet when you entered the theatre? Oh well, they gave us a little into. There is also a verbal bandlist for the Royal Albert Hall performance.

By ScarRad on Sep 26, 2019

  39. Speaking of acetates, I wish I had an explanation of how Marty, my record shop manager, got a brand-new acetate (with no label, or promo marks or cut-out) of most of the Boston songs from their first album and played it for me on the store’s record player in 1974, yet Tom on the remastered CD claims they did not have one until 1976? I was long gone by then, I only worked there in 1974.

By ScarRad on Sep 26, 2019

  40. Thanx!

By leesa on Sep 27, 2019

  41. The Orioles…Dave McNally was the man.

I was a boy in ‘70 when Nolan Ryan & Tom Seaver were favorites in our house.

Koufax was Jewish, he refused to play on Yom Kippur.

By The Patriot on Sep 27, 2019

  42. ScarRad- You are quite right. If Dylan hadn’t used a minor motorcycle accident as an excuse to lay low and get himself clean, he probably would have been dead by the end of 1966.

By Mark on Sep 27, 2019

  43. Jim Palmer only pitcher in the HOF to have never given up a grand slam and only pitcher to win a world series game over 3 decades. In my humble opinion best pitcher in the American League

By THE ANTICHRIST on Sep 27, 2019

  44. Agree Anti , Palmer was great , also McNally and Cuellar pretty fuckin good too . Remember McNally hittin a grand slam in the 70 series vs The Reds .Think it was the series clincher game five

By Derrick on Sep 27, 2019

  45. That was the series where Brooks Robinson was like a vacuum cleaner at third base . Caught everything hit his way , also batted over 400 in the series. He was the series MVP. Remember Brooks in that series Anti ?

By Derrick on Sep 27, 2019

  46. Remember Brooks set the tone in game one by hittin a game winning homer in The ninth inning in Cincinatti. It was all brooks after that . One of the greatest series a player ever had .Earl Weaver just shook his head every time Brooks would make a play .

By Derrick on Sep 27, 2019

  47. Of course. Brooks was the man. Greatest 3rd baseman that ever lived. Thats why when I played high school and college baseball I wore number 5 and played 3rd base. :-)

By THE ANTICHRIST on Sep 27, 2019

  48. They should of won the 69 71 and 79 series also. With the pitching they had, no way they should of lost

By THE ANTICHRIST on Sep 27, 2019

  49. Golly! Bob sounds too stoned to stand up on the intro to that Albert Hall rendition of Like a Rolling Stone.

By realthog on Sep 28, 2019

  50. Thank you for His Bobness!!!

By Frank on Sep 28, 2019

  51. Anti ‘ them Baltimore Orioles teams from 69 70 71 was probably the best baseball team I ever saw . They only won that 70 series vs the reds . Should have beat the Mets in 69 and pirates in 71 . Mets was destined that year . Swoboda ‘ Tommie Agee ‘ Cleon Jones ‘ makin them outfield plays . Donn Clendenon at the plate and Seaver ‘ Koosman pitchin . Birds way team but Mets played over their heads . Anything can happen in a short series. Best team don’t always win . Look at all the fuckin wild card World Series winners.

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  52. The 71 series vs the pirates had Roberto Clemente ‘ Willie Stargell ‘ Bad ass Bob Robertson ‘ Manny Sangillan ‘ . So they was a better team than the Mets . Steve Blass won two games including the seventh game 2 to 1 in Baltimore. Clemente homered .

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  53. Folks forget that the Orioles was up two games to none in that series. Pirates won three straight in Pittsburgh. Came back to Baltimore and Frank Robinson scored the game six winner crashing into Sangillan at the plate to set up game seven. What a fuckin great time to be a baseball fan . Not like that no more

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  54. Derrick my friend, bringing up bad memories with the fuckin pirates and mets. with that team and earl weaver as mgr no way they should of lost

By THE ANTICHRIST on Oct 3, 2019

  55. Anti , I think 71 was the year the Birds had 4 twenty game winners. Palmer of course. Cuellar ‘ McNally and Pat Dobson . Fuck in 70 they had three . McNally ‘ Palmer and Cuellar

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  56. You’ll never see that again with today’s five inning starting pitchers and motherfuckin pitch counts

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  57. I remember how pretty Baltimore’s memorial stadium was . From home plate you could see those beautiful trees outside the stadium past the outfield. Anti did they tear it down . Colts played there too. Lots of history in that old ballpark.

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  58. Old Tiger stadium in Detroit ‘ Crosley field ‘ and Riverfront stadium in Cincinatti torn down , same with old yankee stadium, think Fenway Park and Wrigley field are all that’s left of the old ballparks

By Derrick on Oct 3, 2019

  59. The only park thats still standing is the one that the orioles swept the dodgers in 66. Even the scoreboard looks the same. game 5-2 orioles. moe mows down 11, game 2 6-0 palmer beats koofoo. game three 1-0 bunker beats osteen. ga me 4 1-0 mcnally beats drydale. i think the dodgers didnt score a run in over 30 innings. i remember willie davis losing the ball in the sun and making 2 or 3 errors in that game :-)

By THE ANTICHRIST on Oct 4, 2019

  60. Anti was that 66 series in memorial stadium? Or another one ? Missed that 66 one . Remember the 3 in a row 69 70 71 all in Memorial Stadium. Vividly remember them trees outside the stadium Past the outfield.

By Derrick on Oct 4, 2019

  61. Colts played there too in 60s and 70s .Remember Mike Curtis almost takin Roman Gabriel’s head off there in 68

By Derrick on Oct 4, 2019

  62. Boy you guys sure bring back happy memories. All sports were better in the sixties and seventies. Back then it was about the teams , these days it’s about the brand , showing up your opponent and acting like an idiot on the court and field . Back then players didn’t care about personal stats , it was about the team and winning. These days it’s more about how many homers you hit and how many TD passes you throw .

By Larry on Oct 4, 2019

  63. The first 2 games were played in chavez ravine and the last 2 at memorial stadium. I hate oriole park at camden yards. Its a hitters park for the yankees. Gleybar Torres hit 11 hrs there. The stadium is a joke. Maybe the orioles should go back to memorial stadium and they will play better.

By THE ANTICHRIST on Oct 4, 2019

  64. Hey guys ‘ how about Ronald Acunia Jr last night for the Atlanta Braves , admiring his long fly ball . He thought it was out but didn’t clear the fence , He shoulda been on second base but because of the showboating he was held to a single.Didnt score . He later hit a solo homer and did a hip hop jig going around the bases . Braves lost the game . Typical modern athlete. All about him not the team .Mr Frank Robinson probably would have decked him in the dugout after that crap back in the day .

By Larry on Oct 4, 2019

  65. pete rose would of turned that into a triple. its so typical all showboating like you said

By THE ANTICHRIST on Oct 4, 2019

  66. football might as well be 2 hand touch now. no where physical in the days of the fearsome foursome, the steel curtain and the purple people eaters. its a joke. brady will play till 60

By THE ANTICHRIST on Oct 4, 2019

  67. Unitas would throw for 60 tds a season today . Same with Lamonica , stabler , staubach

By Larry on Oct 4, 2019

  68. Mike Curtis would be banned for life , same for Deacon Jones ‘ Bob Lilly ‘ Jack Lambert etc

By Larry on Oct 4, 2019

  69. Also Dic Butkus

By Larry on Oct 4, 2019
