Sings Zevon [no label, 1CD]

Various dates and venues 1975-2014; very good audience and FM radio.

Thanks to jayhawk for sharing the tracks at Dime.

jayhawk noted:

Jackson Browne and Warren Zevon became good friends over the years. Since Warren’s passing [in 2003], Jackson has frequently sung one or sometimes even two of Zevon’s songs during his concert performances. This is a collection of all of the different Zevon songs Jackson has been recorded performing. Two have only been recorded a single time and the quality of those recordings was not as high as might be hoped for but I believe they are still acceptable.

Various tracks were shortened using CD Wave Editor. Some were combined using WAV Joiner Trial Edition. Then, Audacity was used to fade in and fade out on certain tracks, to amplify or decrease the volume, and to add silence at the end of some tracks. Ashampoo Burning Studio was used to normalize the tracks.

  5. Absolutely fantastic! Thanks for this music, Bigo! By the way, Dylan also covered quite a few Zevon songs once it was known Warren was dying. He even contributed “Mutineer” to the Zevon tribute album “Enjoy Every Sandwich.”

  12. “We play [Outrider that is] at The Centrum Worcester, which was one of the best shows we played on the ‘88 tour. Robert Plant with his solo tour, had re-routed to start following up our dates and in fact, at Worcester, he played the following day on the 30th. He disguised himself and slipped in to see the show. It’s a shame he didn’t say hello.”
