BOB DYLAN
Nashville Liveline 1975 - 2002 [no label, 1CD]

Fan compilation. Various dates and venues. Very good audio (from different sources).

Thanks to roberts for sharing this compilation at Dime.

roberts noted:

To celebrate the 50 years of Nashville Skyline, I have put together a selection of the live version of the songs from the album, two songs have never been performed live, “Nashville Skyline Rag” and “Peggy Day”. Hope you enjoy it, it is only eight songs, not a huge download.

  6. Another great post of a great artist! Thanks, bigo- Nashville Skyline isn’t one of my favorite albums, but the songs are still better than 90% of what’s out there in the music world. Concert reviews are saying Dylan’s current tour is the best he’s done in over 20 years, and from what I’ve heard on Youtube I’d have to agree.

By Mark on Nov 14, 2019

  7. Bob Dylan hasn’t been relevant since the 1970s . Anyone who says an 80 year old man can give a great performance or can sing is either delusional or deaf .

By Pat Grooms on Nov 14, 2019

  8. Which is why Pat he has been on the Never-ending Tour since the 80’s yeah? Can’t be any good if all those people just keep on going to see him all the time hey? Who else can do that and there has never been an empty seat. THat’s sold out every venue since 1988. THere’s an awful lot of us deluded tone deaf folks hey? Actually this past year he has cranked it up a gear and reinvigorated the setlist and his performances, even the strength of voice has undergone a change (See Hyde Park London with Neil Young). The naysayers have been there since the very beginning and those who find him irrelevant are welcome to their views.
    They’re just wrong ;)

    Oh and he’s 78

By swappers on Nov 14, 2019

  9. You are right . There are many tone deaf ‘ delusional geezers such as you who continue to worship these dinosaurs. Dylan ‘ Neil Young ‘ Springsteen McCartney ‘ The Rolling Stones etc . I’m certain that their audiences are laden with grey haired ‘ and bald or balding baby boomers with pot belly’s and wives that who by now resemble granny from the beverly hillbilly’s

By Pat Grooms on Nov 14, 2019

  10. I suppose it makes you still Imagine that you’re still 23 years old . That time has past . Get over it and play with your great grandkids. Sorry to be so harsh gramps .

By Pat Grooms on Nov 14, 2019

  11. I agree that some music icons stay at the party too long . Bob Dylan is one of them .

By Tom on Nov 14, 2019

  12. Bobs last truly great album was Desire and that was in 1976 . 43 years ago . He continues to live on his 60s and 70s legacy.

By Tom on Nov 14, 2019

  13. It’s true Bob Dylan is a Jew sad to say . His real name is Robert Zimmerman.

    By T J on Nov 14, 2019

  14. I am no Dylan delusional worshipper. His performances the past ten years deteriorated to the point I stopped going to his shows. But this current tour is special. If you haven’t been to see him you would not know.

Dylan is not resting on his laurels of greatest hits. Half the songs in his shows these days are from 1997 or later.

By Mark on Nov 14, 2019

  15. Please put up the newly discovered soundboard from July 23, 2000.

There’s also a Neil Young one from 1996 that was put into circulation by the same person.

Anyways, thanks for this one & all the other music BigO

  16. Many thanks… again. Bob’s new release Travellin’ Thru is a great purchase and the JWH tracks are eye opening of how it might have been. Pity the missing tracks are missing which seems a poor piec of house-keeping by CBS/Sony and the late Mr Johnston.

By Canute on Nov 14, 2019

  17. Haters/who know nothing about music: Your hole is equal (and Now equidistant) to the sum of Your parts…

By harmon on Nov 15, 2019

  18. Dylan won a Grammy for Time Out of Mind in 1998. His album Modern Times peaked at Number 1 on Billboard in 2006. His album Together Through Life peaked at Number 1 in 2009. Tom and Pat-Dylan is only irrelevant if YOU are stuck in the 60’s and 70’s and bemoan that he isn’t the same as he was back then. Artists mature and continue to grow, and so do many of their fans. In fact, I listen to his later albums more than I listen to his 60’s and 70’s output. But it’s just a matter of opinion.

By Mark on Nov 15, 2019

  19. swappers and Mark dont waste your time on Pat Grooms he’s Bill’s love child,an accident when the condom broke…these fools know nothing about music or the reason why Bob keep’s going,if you love what you do,do it well why not…look at those losers arm chair critics…sad wankers

By Tom Petty's Ghost on Nov 15, 2019

  20. Yeah, man. I am me, I’m Anti, I’m HHH and I’m Pat Grooms. (and various others), and anyone who can’t see why is fuckin blind and or illiterate.

I need to shut up and man I need your help with that. Get with the morherfuckin program.

By Derrick on Nov 15, 2019

  21. Nah, I’m not trying to convince TJ or Pat. They are entitled to their opinions. I’m just offering a different perspective. I’m just glad the discussion has turned to music.

By Mark on Nov 15, 2019

  22. This world would be a better place, if those, who don’t like this or that, would keep quiet.
I understand that you are full of your own importance, but no one in this world is interested to be informed about your opinions.

By HaPe on Nov 15, 2019

  23. I never said shit mother fucker use your own fuckin name . You Dic suckin queer .

By Derrick on Nov 15, 2019

  24. I would never say nothin bad about Dylan even if he’s old as dirt now and a mother fuckin Jew bastard.

By Derrick on Nov 15, 2019

  25. HaPe- This is a music website with a comments section. Opinions about the music seems like the most logical use of space. By your own definition, you are full of your own importance to be posting your opinion about our opinions. Unlike you, though, I respect your right to post your opinion. If you don’t want to be exposed to other people’s opinions about the music, you could skip the comments section. Unless you prefer the comments about race, football, baseball, boxing, and classic sitcoms.

By Mark on Nov 15, 2019

  26. Bob Dylan has sucked since the mid seventies

By Tom on Nov 15, 2019

  27. I’m sorry if the truth bothers people. Last great album was Desire and last great tour was rolling thunder .

By Tom on Nov 15, 2019

  28. I would have fucked Bob Dylan in a heartbeat when he was young. He was so hot back then based on the pictures I’ve seen . Today he’s a gross shriveled up old prune . A big penis is definitely a plus but it wouldn’t matter at his age . I’m only 18 and I like older dudes , but nobody over 50

By Katie Kessler on Nov 15, 2019

  29. Hey Katie ‘ would you make an exception for 57 with a fat 12 inch ?

    By C Tony on Nov 15, 2019

  30. Tom- Bob Dylan’s album Desire was released in 1976 is a fact. The statement that it was his “last truly great album” is an opinion. When I say Dylan is on tour this fall that is a fact. When reviewers claim this tour is on par with 1966 and 1975 that is their opinion. I’m not trying to change your mind regarding how good or bad you think Dylan is these days, but I am trying to educate you on the difference between fact and opinion. Don’t feel bad-many, many people confuse their opinions as being facts.

By Mark on Nov 15, 2019

  31. The album Desire was released in 1976 is a fact. The statement that it was his last great album is an opinion. Many people confuse the two.

By Mark on Nov 15, 2019

  32. Mark I never said you where trying to convince any one,I see the game your playing Your perspective is trying to come across as your smarter than those dumb red necks by sitting on the fence…when in fact you dumber…cant have your cake and eat it too, college boy!

By Tom Petty's Ghost on Nov 16, 2019

  33. Dylan’s last great album was Blood on the tracks ‘ not Desire . Desire is average. The only thing Dylan has done even average in the last 40 years was Infidels in 84

By Pat Grooms on Nov 16, 2019

  34. Thank you for “His Bobness”.
    Always a pleasure!!!!

By Frank on Nov 16, 2019

  35. TP- Considering your grammar and spelling I don’t think you are in a position to call anyone dumber.

By Mark on Nov 16, 2019

  36. Mark , has anyone ever told you that you’re an intellectual snob ?

    By T J on Nov 17, 2019

  37. It doesn’t take a genius to tell the difference between fact and opinion. It doesn’t take a mental giant to know when to use “your” and when to use “you’re.” It doesn’t take a doctorate degree to know the difference between “were” and “where.” TP sent some smack my way so I sent some back. Unless someone is a snowflake it should just be good, clean fun.

By Mark on Nov 17, 2019

  38. Mark two replies college boy,is that all you Got…You would not no fact if it bit you on the ass.You intellectual snob, hows my grammar….

  41. T J Only belittling himself,He’s the kinda guy who bets on every horse in the race, then tells everyone he backed a winner, you remember the fool at school(poetry)nobody liked, the teachers pet….

By Tom Petty's Ghost on Nov 17, 2019

  42. I’m another who thinks Bob Dylan is way over the hill and should have retired 35 years ago . He is awful today .

By Larry on Nov 18, 2019

  43. Many others should hang it up as well . Elton John comes to mind . Old , fat and can’t sing anymore.

By Larry on Nov 18, 2019

  44. Sorry if I hurt the feelings of the snowflakes here. You guys can dish it out but you can’t take it, so I will restrict my comments to the music.

By Mark on Nov 18, 2019

  45. Mark ‘ most people here are assholes. Just saying!
