Osaka 1983 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan; July 29, 1983. Very good soundboard (low gen).

This tour was later made into a video with the Tokyo performance, but many fans may not be aware that this Osaka performance is in circulation. [Robbie Robertson left the group in 1976.]

  3. Same set list as the Tokyo show. But thanks.

By Chin Ho on Dec 5, 2019

  4. Not the same without that pri*k Robbie Robertson, but still a stellar show. Thanks!

By Mark on Dec 5, 2019

  5. I saw this tour in Manchester, NH 15 September 1984 for the River-fest Celebration. I have an audience recording tucked away someplace recorded on my old Sony D7 Cassette recorder. This sounds great. This same band with the Cate Brothers opened up for the Grateful Dead 06 September 1980 Lewiston, Maine and had the Dead-Heads standing with mouth’s wide open with heads full of doses just shaking. WTF? Another great show. Thank You so much again. Our commercial free show can be heard Saturdays 3-6 PM eastern time at from the campus of U-MASS-LOWELL in Lowell, MA. Tune into “The Blues Deluxe Show” . Our show has been on for 30+ years. Turn it up & Many Thanks again to Big O. Our hero~!

  6. Mark once again gets a shot in at a legendary performer. How do you know Robbie Robertson is a prick Hebrew Mark ? Did you ever meet the man ? Go away Mark .

    By T J on Dec 5, 2019

  7. Also I don’t think Robbie is Jewish . I believe he is Canadian with Native American heritage.

    By T J on Dec 5, 2019

  8. The band wasn’t the band without RR . Just saying.

By Bill on Dec 5, 2019

  9. simply because Robbie chose to invest his money instead of killing himself with drugs and alcohol many so -called fans think he is the bad guy. Helm,Danko and Manuel all had the opportunity to keep earning residuals but instead wanted cash buyouts to support their life styles. I chose to love the Band in its entirety and blame no one person for its demise. like they said in the Last Waltz..”It`s a damn impossible way of life” rejoice in the fact we still hear new shows and have all those glorious lps from Big Pink on to savor..The Band is Dead..Long Live the Band.

  10. I never met him, but Levon Helm did, and he related many stories of RR’s obnoxious behaviors. Others in the industry have similar stories to tell. And I have seen enough interviews to come to my conclusion that he’s a pretentious yahoo. But I acknowledge he’s a hell of a guitar player and songwriter.

Don’t cry, T J- It’s just my opinion. It cannot harm you in any way unless you value my opinion so much that if I say something you disagree with it wounds you.

I’m not going away, so you might as well just skip my posts or develop a thicker skin.

  11. Another fine post…thanks! This will go very well with the Byrds reunion show from yesterday. Thanks for sharing…

  12. Hey TJ-

I see you’re upping your Ass Hole game lately. Trying to keep up with Derrick, HHH, Anti, and all the other bigoted idiots.

Glad you found a way to enjoy yourself here (at everyone elses expense) because being a cunt is probably your only enjoyment in life.

Oh, and your bit about Robertson not being Jewish because he’s Canadian. That’s funny, but you just go on with your driveling dotard self!

    Have a great night!

By Golda Meir on Dec 6, 2019

  13. Did somebody call?
    Here I am.
Ask me about how my family escaped the Holocaust and emigrated to Toronto…and the hundred of thousands of other Canadian Jews.

By Geddy Lee on Dec 6, 2019

  14. Is Golda Meir one of Marks other usernames? Nice try Mark . Now go away.

By HHH on Dec 6, 2019

  15. Cate Brothers in on this one. Arkansas’s finest! Thanks BigO!!

By oneL on Dec 6, 2019

  16. I only stated the fact that Robertson wasn’t Jewish . I’m sorry that offended some people. hhh ‘ I’ve also asked Mark to go away but he’s like a cancer that keeps growing.

    By T J on Dec 6, 2019

  17. I’ll weigh in on this shit . Mark is definitely a Jew bastard. He sucks dics ‘ I’d bet the fuckin ranch on it . Hey Anti you still with us dude ? Lonely place without your input . Hey what you think of this show ? Pretty fuckin good but I miss Robbie too .

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  18. Saw Robbie star in the movie Carny back in the early 80s . Weird movie bout carnival life. Think Robbie wrote the script . Co Stars was Jody Foster and Gary Bussy

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  19. Robbie I think has wrote several movie scores . He’s good friends with Martin Scorcese

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  20. Robbie and Garth Hudson are sadly the only band members still with us . Levon , Danko and Richard Manuel have all passed away .

By Bill on Dec 6, 2019

  21. Hey Anti ‘ if your still with us . Watching the cowboys play the bears 7 7 first quarter. Man that motherfuckin hi yeller Dak Prescott just can’t throw the motherfuckin ball with accuracy. Throws behind receivers. Throws in the dirt . Overthrows receivers . Fuckin coons and hi yellers ain’t good passers . The only thing they is good at is runnin like fuckin monkeys. Prescott needs to be benched for Cooper Rush instead Jerrah is going to give that hi yeller 40 fuckin million a year

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  22. Jason Garrett clapping away as usual

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  23. Coach Landry would never have let a coon or hi yeller play QB. We ain’t never goin to win nuthin with Prescott

By Derrick on Dec 6, 2019

  24. Yeah, Derrick I saw Carny also. I liked it.

By Mark on Dec 6, 2019

  25. RR did the soundtrack for Scoesesee’s King of Comedy with Robert DeNiro. Highlight of the soundtrack was Van Morrison’s song “Wonderful Remark.”
