Peter Brötzmann, from Germany, is among the most important European free jazz musicians. His rough timbre is easily recognized on his many recordings.
Japanese musician and singer-songwriter Kaiji Haino’s work has included rock, free improvisation, noise music, percussion, psychedelic music, minimalism and drone music. He has been active since the ’70s and continues to record regularly and in new styles.
