CAROLE KING
Chicago 1982 [no label, 2CD]

Chicagofest. Live at the Navy Pier, IL; August 15, 1982. Very good audience recording.

Thanks to analog4011 for sharing the show at Dime.

analog4011 noted:

Here is very nice recording of one of the best singer-songwriters of our time. There were not many shows in the States according to setlist.fm. This was at Chicagofest main stage. With all the bleacher benches set up on the floor. General admission. Get there early and when the gate opens run for your spot. I was excited for this show. It did not disappoint. Except this guy in the band Mark Hallman. He sang his own songs, four of them. All right Carole, get back at it. I could not get any help on the net finding those titles. I remember what a beautiful day it was. I think I went to a show just about everyday in that month. I feel fortunate to have this as she does not play live often. I somehow cut off the last song later on by bringing in the master to another show… Crank it good! Enjoy RB

Everything I do for my stereo room and gear is carefully chosen for the finest of quality control. This means A to B comparisons for EVERYTHING! I leave no stone unturned. I decide if what I do will end up being a more musical experience and not the opposite like more processed sounding. I split hairs!! I have learned what is more musical from all the decades of listening to differences. Stereo and audio gear is not nearly as subjective as people make it out to be. It is either more musical or more processed sounding at the end of the day. One more thing I learned, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE SAME! Practically the same yes! The same, NO! So with this all said…..I thank all the people here for the great compliments since I came here in 2006. It means a lot to me after decades of sleepless nights and stressful days carrying in top shelve equipment every time out!***

  10. I actually like ‘em medium. Sort of around four inches, three fingers thick. The real pleasure is at the clit and the medium size is what really rubs it right there. Only stupid porn watching chicks want big ones.

  21. Track 220 - untitled - it sounds like the rythm to “The Locomotion”. Can’t be sure without seeing a setlist for this gig or tour, but I suspect it was going to be “the Locomotion”.

By Funkygibbon on Sep 22, 2020

  22. she did Locomotion a few days later on Letterman, and the intro is the same as the “cut off” last song on the Chicagofest gig, so it was “the locomotion” as the last song.
