  2. Hey DD , triple h , I don’t watch baseball anymore and what happened in game 5 of the Yankees series is the main reason why . The Bully ( bullpen) strikes again . Manager Aaron Boone takes starting pitcher Gerrit Cole out of the fuckin game in the 6th inning just cause he gives up the game tying homer and has thrown 94 pitches . What the fuck was that ?

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  3. Pitch counts , analytics, starting pitchers. Treated like babies goin 4 to 6 innings. Tons of relievers and substitutions, slow play , no small ball / stolen bases . Every hitter goin for the fuckin fences is what has destroyed baseball

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  4. That and inter league play . Remember when the World Series was special? You had two teams that never played each other and didn’t know much bout the team they was facing. The last real series was the 68 series Tigers vs my cardinals. In 69 they went to two divisions and I must admit it did get exciting, but then the fuckin geniuses went too far wit this wild card bullshit . Fuckin greed was what it was all about

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  5. You can have a great regular season and be the best team all year and lose in the playoffs to a less talented team that just happens to get hot at the right time

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  6. I hate inter league play . It’s taken the mystique out of the World Series. Everyone knows everyone. No mystery no more . Remember when The cardinals played the tigers in 68 . Big exitement . Game one Gibson vs Denny McClain . Gibson wit his 13 shutouts and 1.12 era that season vs McClain who won 31 games for Detroit. That was excitement

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  7. No motherfuckin pitch counts back then . Win or lose you usually went the distance, unless you really got rocked . Bob Gibson 9 career World Series starts 7 wins 2 losses . All complete games . Two World Series mvps

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  8. Mickey Lolich in 68 , overshadowing his teammate McClain by winning 3 games , all complete, including game 7 in St Louis on 2 days rest . That would never happen today

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  9. After his game seven win , Lolich said he was tired , but being tired helped his breaking ball to drop better . Imagine a pitcher sayin that today . Pitchers back then was smarter . They knew that their managers wasn’t goin to take em out if they didn’t have their best stuff . Pitchers knew how to adjust , change speeds . They was pitchers , not throwers . More pitchers today got bad arms than the old timers did . Back then you didn’t have as many Tommy John surgeries as today even though you threw more pitches . That’s cause you threw everyday . Today is fucked up

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  10. A Bob Gibson pitched game usually was under 2 hours . He pitched fast

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  11. Gibson would be pointed towards first base after his pitches. Unusual delivery

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  12. That stare and that right leg in the air . Hitters was scared to death

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  13. What about that bs boone did pitching garcia for 1 inning and then bringing in happ in the second. im not watching anymore. it either homeruns and strikeouts. give me exit velocity on a bloop single, sacrifice bunt hit and run…all history

By David Duke on Oct 15, 2020

  14. I still want my bangers and mash and kiddie porn. stripping down greasing the goose and jackin in swappers and bebes faces

    By U L E on Oct 15, 2020

  15. Gibson came in my mouth fast too.

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  16. He gave me his high hard one tee hee.

By Derrick on Oct 15, 2020

  17. I got it high and inside from Willie McCovey.

    I couldn’t sit right for a week!

By Nelson on Oct 15, 2020

  23. bruce, we’re just a bunch of spoiled kids starved for attention. Any kind of attention will do. So we post the most outrageous (that is, boring) content we can think of with our little pea-brains.

    And by the way… Un.

    By U L E on Oct 15, 2020

  29. Let me be the first (and only) one to say “Thank You” for this show. I’m a long-time follower of Nick Lowe from the Brinsley Schwartz days.

By IDC on Oct 16, 2020

  30. Who cares IDC? Whadya want? A medal?

By bruce reade on Oct 16, 2020

  31. Hi IDC, I care! Nick Lowe is one of my favorite musicians, and I saw lots of great shows at First Ave (but not this one). The last time I saw Nick Lowe was with the Cowboy Outfit in 1986. This show is a treat, and it has hits, covers, and a hot band.

Don’t worry about the one person who is posting under lots of names. She’s a persistent, humorless, and harmless attempted troll who doesn’t know anything about music or sports.
