One foot in the East and one foot in the West, the violinist Baiju Bhatt achieves with his second album “Eastern Sonata” (stamped HIT Couleurs Jazz, 2019) a daring mix between jazz-rock and Indian music, between tradition and modernity. Surrounded by the transalpine quintet “Red Sun”, an alchemical group where the different sounds of each melt into perfect harmony, he erases borders and mixes cultures in a great multicoloured, virtuoso and harmonious firework display. A spirited playing with an exemplary rhythmic placement, which also knows how to become romantic and aerial. - compagniethalie.org

  2. This is not jazz . It is a pathetic mutation of jazz. Real Jazz died in the early 1970’s shortly after the release of that abomination Bitches Brew by Miles Davis , featuring the Hack McLaughlin. Pre Brew Miles , Coltrane, Montgomery, Pass , Monk , Ellington, Parker , Dhjango, Christian, Ellington, Armstrong etc , that’s Jazz. The only Jazz is old school jazz .

  3. R.I.P Sean Connery . The real James Bond . There was only one Bond and it was Sean . The others were all sad Imitations . Great actor who also did many other things. Movies like Man who would be King with Michael Caine , The Hill , The Untouchables for which he won an Oscar . The man was a Giant in the industry. Sean was 90 .

  4. ‘James Bond’ remember was Scottish!

“I am not an Englishman, I was never an Englishman, and I don’t ever want to be one. I am a Scotsman! I was a Scotsman and I will always be one.”
    – Sean Connery

  9. Miles influence is strong with this one. The Miles’ element covers the gamut from late fifties to late sixties. The set is lovely. For those for whom jazz-fusion is often too cacophonous — this concert will be very enjoyable.
