Disc 1: Live at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, France; May 31, 1988. Disc 2: Live at Rock In Rio festival, Brazil; January 27, 1991. Disc 3: Live at BBC studios, London, and broadcast on Radio 1, October 8, 1996.

Disc 1 features George Michael’s concert performed at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in France on May 31, 1988, about six months after the release of his Freedom album.

Disc 2 houses George’s magnificent set at then Rock In Rio festival in Brazil on January 27, 1991, this time soon after the release of Listen Without Prejudice Volume 1, which came out the previous September.

Disc 3 contains George’s ‘other unplugged’ recording, which he made for Radio 1 on October 8, 1996, a very different beast to that which he recorded for MTV a few days later.

On Christmas Day 2016, George Michael died of heart disease at his home in Oxfordshire, UK. He was 53. George, who was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in north London, sold more than 100m albums throughout a career spanning almost four decades. He first found fame with his schoolfriend Andrew Ridgeley in the duo Wham! before going on to release solo albums, including the multi-million selling Faith and Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1. Among hits such as Careless Whisper, Young Guns and Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Wham! Last Christmas is now considered a Yuletide favourite.
