caddy72, Dime 2021:

It’s allmost 37 years ago. I’m a sound engineer and, at that time, I mixed all the Live acts in the Star Dancing. I live nearby and could provide the gear (mixer, mics+stands, effects, etc). NoSpEx sounds like No Specs, means: No Specifications given. At the same time the capitals hints to my business name: Nocturnal Sound Engineering, NSE.

Shocking Blue was a Dutch rock band formed in 1967 in The Hague. It was part of the music movement in the Netherlands that was generally known by the name Nederbeat. The band had a number of hits throughout the counterculture movement during the 1960s and early 1970s, including “Send Me a Postcard” and “Venus”, which became their biggest hit and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and many other countries during 1969 and 1970. The band sold 13.5 million records by 1973 but disbanded in 1974. Together with Golden Earring they are considered the most successful Nederbeat-band, if the criterion is scoring hits abroad and especially in the United States.

Shocking Blue were founded in 1967 by The Motions guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen. In 1968, van Leeuwen was introduced to Mariska Veres, singing at that time with a club band. He persuaded her to take over the vocals, and the group recorded a worldwide hit with the song “Venus”. Veres died of gallbladder cancer in 2006 at the age of 59, just three weeks after the disease had been detected. - wikipedia

Don’t forget, Nirvana covered their song, Love Buzz. File under Bubblegum Pop.

  15. Greetings, BigO. Thanks for this!

I also use Chrome, but am generally unable to access JPGs or the MP3s themselves for d/l or play. JPGs are inaccessible from a PDF capture of the page. I use FDM for downloads.

I just tested Edge and was able to download the JPGs and play the MP3s. JPGs are inaccessible from the PDF page d/l here too though.
