In 1971, guitarist Robin Trower left Procol Harum to form his own power trio. He was replaced by Dave Ball. After Dave left, Mick Grabham was the group’s guitarist from 1972 until 1977.

Loved “Conquistador” when I first heard it more than 50 years ago, one of the few songs which completely benefits from the blare of the symphony orchestra. Gary Brooker’s keyboard solo much higher in the mix on this version; he is missed.
