OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark)
Austin 2011 [no label, 1CD]

Live On KEXP from SxSW, Mellow Johnnys Bike Shop, Austin, TX; March 17, 2011. Very good radio broadcast.

When it comes to synth pop, if Kraftwerk had a delicious Model, the English OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark) had a devastating Enola Gay. For good measure, they leave behind a nice Souvenir too.

Thanks to obh2o who shared the tracks at Dime and to adriana for the artwork.

  2. Thanks, Big O! Maid of Orleans is one of my all-time fave “hits” from the ’80’s. It was part of the soundtrack to a skating video of Houston’s Urban Animals called “Speed Street” that simply licked ass. Definitely worth watching.

  4. You have to be more careful golgo. you know what they say - one slip of the tongue and you’re in up to your elbows.

    Thanks as always BIGO!
