Blind Faith - Last
Concert [Red Light 1CD]
The CD claims this show was recorded at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion in Los
Angeles on 26 August 1969. However, the Blind Faith tour ended in Hawaii
two days earlier. Even though this is just a fair audience recording,
it is still the best recording that documents the ill-fated tour. The
set list featured, in part, "Had To Cry Today", "Presence Of The Lord",
and "Means To An End". Be careful not to confuse it with Can't Find My
Way Home (Traditional Line) which is a combination of studio outtakes
and selections from the Gothenburg Concert.

Elliman - Backing Vocals. Geetarz Comments: "Another sonic masterpiece
from 3BR, this one sourced directly from the master reels, and then subjected
to the Professor's sonic wizardry. This is one of the '74 tour shows where
everyone was having fun, an enjoyable performance that can be listened to over
and over. As was the case at the time, the audience were fond of throwing
things on stage, and EC quips "If you are gonna throw things, throw MONEY!". Perhaps the show is a bit more cohesive because EC
hadn't had too much, er, "refreshment" before the show - during the
band introduction, he says "It's time for a drink ... it's been too bloody
long!" and then proceeds to compliment the audience "you're looking
good ... I can't see any of you, but you're looking good!". Freddie King guests on "Have You Ever Loved a Woman", in a great duet
performance, followed by the usual craziness of "Little Queenie" and
a businesslike performance of "Crossroads"." Ex

[Includes 8/9/75 Stanford Univ, CA ]
This release features the Providence RI show on 25 June in upgraded quality
paired with a great recording of the Stanford University gig on 8 August.
The Providence gig is a truly outstanding audience recording. It features
Carlos Santana on "Eyesight To The Blind" and "Why Does Love Got To Be
So Sad". According to Roberty's Complete Recording Sessions 1963-1995,
this show was recorded for possible release. "Layla", "Further On Up The
Road", "Driftin' Blues", and "Eyesight To The Blind / Why Does Love Got
To Be So Sad" eventually made their way onto Crossroads 2. But, there
are still lots of great tracks left on this boot. A complete soundboard
recording of this show has never surfaced among collectors. The Stanford
University show is a real treat. It includes tracks like "Badge",
"Better Make It Through Today," "Key To The Highway"
and "Carnival". At a minimum, one should have the Providence
concert on Splendor (VRM / 5). Note that Splendor was the recommended
disc until the release of Joker 2.

Eric Clapton - "Turn Up Down": UNRELEASED ALBUM [DJ Copy 1CD Torrent:

Surrey, England. From Marc Roberty's "The Complete Recording Sessions":
"Eric had recruited Gary Brooker as unofficial musical director for the
group, and immediately set about recording his new album. The sessions
produced some fairly uninspired results. It is difficult to pinpoint blame;
maybe it was Eric being lazy, maybe it was the band being too laid back,
or perhaps Glyn Johns in his role as producer was not assertive enough.
Whatever the reason, the album was finished and mastered and cassette
copies were sent around to various RSO executives. It was to be called
Turn Up Down, but all concerned decided it was not good enough to release."
Produced and engineered by Glyn Johns. Same musicians as on Another Ticket

misses the 13th track Oh How I Miss My Baby's Love. Ex SBD stereo.

Agreement with Hitler and Chamberlain, and a Czechoslovakian company asked me
to do the music and I was a bit lost when I first thought about it...And when I
saw the footage , which is archive black and white
material, I just wrote a very simple kind of blues progression and got some
string players in and set it to a kind of philharmonic setting and it still
works, which is an example of the fact that I always think from a blues point
of view and try to frame it in different ways to make it palatable." Ex SBD stereo. All 15 tracks are instrumentals.
