that the vocals and instruments were barely amplified, which makes this
recording, taped from the very front row, so rich in mix and sound; so
close to the performers that my mics were almost their intended mics.
All the charms of this tiny venue (creaky chairs and wooden floors) are
heard on this recording of a remarkable performance." Lineup: Stephin

Bob Marley - Nice Time [Sonotech 1CD Demonoid 1351742] "In December 1970,
Marley brought out his first album "Soul Rebel". Tracks 1, 2 and 5-13
are from the recording sessions from the early 1970's to Soul Rebel. It
looks like Bob didn't like these songs enough to put them on the album.
But most of the tracks are fine and interesting. Sometimes they are not
the typical reggae songs but music full of soul from the Motown era. A
few other songs sound very funny, and it's clear why Bob did not put these
songs on the album. The last three songs (tracks 14-16) are fantastic
and powerful dub versions of these songs." Early Marley songs some considered

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Rufaro Stadium 1980 [no label 1CD Torrent:
70818] live at Rufaro Stadium, Harare (Salisbury), Zimbabwe, Apr 18, 1980.
This is also known as the riot show. "After the official Zimbabwean flag
had been raised, the performance of Bob Marley & The Wailers was announced.
The audience consisted of assembled dignitaries and media, including the
international luminaries like Zimbabwe's first Prime Minister Robert Mugabe,
Britain's Prince Charles and India's Indira Gandhi.
"The performance
begun with 'Positive Vibration' and went on well with 'Them Belly Full'
and 'Roots, Rock, Reggae'. The Zimbabwean crowd outside the stadium hearing
Marley singing got angry and pressed against the stadium's gates. During
'I Shot The Sheriff', the police answered by firing tear gas. Marley and
the band were escorted to safety. That's the point where the soundboard
cuts.
"After some minutes
Marley came back onstage and shouted 'Freedom!', while a crisp English
voice from the other end of the stadium announced: 'Bob Marley, you have
exactly two minutes left.' The band played 'War' which faded into 'No
More Trouble'. Now running a quarter of an hour over their allotted two
minutes, The Wailers performed 'Zimbabwe', with the entire audience joining
in the chorus line. Then the concert was definitely cancelled.
"Therefore, this
soundboard source is incomplete; it misses 'War/No More Trouble' and 'Zimbabwe'.
But it is still a historical recording." GD+ SBD stereo. Hissy.

Honky Tonk Down", which are not included as they can be found as bonus
tracks on the official remasters. "Each version of the song is different,
you won't get bored despite the repeat songs \ no lyrics. There are no
LP takes with no lyrics either, many different mixes, takes, feels to
each of these. It is really amazing to hear the different angles tried
on each attempt, and although, my favorite take of FRUIT had to be excluded
because of its inclusion on the HUEVOS reissue, it may give you an idea
of how diverse and incredibly talented the Meat Puppets are... as if ya

George Michael - Paris 1988 [no label 1CD Torrent: 74849] live in France,
May 31, 1988. A Westwood One broadcast. "This is truly one of the very
best George Michael bootlegs to ever surface. This was recorded during
the height of his commericial success, on the wildly successful Faith
Tour. George is at the very top of his game vocally, even hitting the
high notes in "One More Try" with ease. "Hard Day" comes off much better
here than it does on the record, making for an excellent lead-off track.
The Stevie Wonder cover, "Love's In Need Of Love Today" is a song that
suit's George's voice perfectly and he really shines on it. The hit duet
with Aretha Franklin, "I Knew You We're Waiting" is performed solo here,
and you really don't miss Aretha, George nails it on his own. "Careless
Whisper" is milked to the extreme, with an extended saxaphone solo that
really takes this epic to the next level. Deon Estus, bass player and
backround vocalist is a standout on this recording, laying down a solid
groove throughout the show. The 1996 unplugged shows are excellent, but
this recording, with a full band is very, very special." - Ryan "Lil King"

Mahavishnu Orchestra
- Boston 1972 [DoinkerTape 1CD Torrent: 86456] live at Boston Symphony
Hall, USA, Jan 26, 1972. Open for Jerry Garcia and Howard Wales. "Several
looong jams, performed with a certain finesse not found in some other
MO recordings. In other words, they don't sound like a rabid dog in this
one!!! Don't shoot your poster for saying that, I love the Mahavishnu
Orchestra. But, listening to some of it live while driving can make you
think of going bowling... with the other cars. This concert doesn't have
that effect, I don't think it does anyway." VG+ SBD? stereo.
