The Who - Autumn 1969 Acetates [no label 1CD longliverock 487] "This cd collects all the soundboard tracks that have surfaced from the October/November 1969 tour of the U.S that have not been identified by venue or date. Some tracks have been "released" before on cds such as "Who is tommy" and "Eternal mods", but mis-labeled. These, on this CD here, were recorded straight to cassette from the original reference acetates made by Damon Lyon Shaw at IBC studios in January 1970. You will hear scratches, clicks, skips and even run off grooves! Listen how the tape is manually stopped whilst the acetate is still being cut! The raw, unmixed sound is also loud and powerful." The Who - "Gutter Punks At A Warehouse" : Remastered [no label 1CD Torrent: 74701] live at the Warehouse in New Orleans, Louisiana Nov 29, 1971. "Virtually every track had very different frequency responses. Therefore, each track has to be mastered using different values. This goes for each channel on each track as well. A fairly large amount of Eq'ing has been done here... In many cases, depending on the channel balance and amp level, amplification and channel mixing has been used to get a more well rounded out and clearer sound where possible. I've also done some cutting, pasting and fading in and out in sections where necessary. No form of noise reduction has been used on this recording." - theface07 VG+ SBD stereo.
