*Available on The Pretenders’ Pirate Radio boxset.

Needle And The Damage Done, on Pirate Radio, clocks in at 3:46, is a studio version, and is listed in the box notes as a Viva El Amor! session outtake. If you still have my email address, drop me a line, and I’ll pop it over to you.

  13. Great share. Oh oh oh oh, whoa whoa so well sung by Chrissie.

Kid and Back On The Chain Gang. What a time it was when those songs were new to everyone.

  17. Thanks for sharing–I saw them live w/Simple Minds in 1982 or 1983 in Portland, Maine. They put on a great show even for a 3/4 full arena in the sticks.

  21. Fond memories of seeing the original bandin 1982 at the Civic Center in San Diego, on the tour for their second album. Saw them again at the US Festival, then again on the tour for the 3rd album. RIP JHS and PF.

  23. Thanks for your great collections Phil and BigO for sharing them.

By Matt on Mar 1, 2012

  24. Phil, I collect this band & have lots of stuff that will never make the latest 22 CD / DVD box set released in Feb 2015. Funny how “My City Is Gone (12″ Version) avoids release as well.
