ROGER WATERS
Paranoids In Brisbane 2012 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, Australia; February 2, 2012. Very good to excellent audience recording.

Roger Waters is currently on a world tour that took him to North America, Portugal, Greece and Australia and he will be performing in New Zealand on February 18, 2012. The tour will also bring him to Chile, Argentina and scheduled to end on November 4, 2010 in Brazil. For those keeping score, Roger Waters’ The Wall Live opened on September 15, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. It’s reported that the tour may extend to Europe again in 2013.

Thanks to Hammondlord for sharing the lossless tracks and artwork at The Traders’ Den. Hammondlord noted:

Here’s my own recording of the second of three Roger Waters concerts in Brisbane. It truly was a fantastic show, both in the sound and in the effects. Roger was in a good mood, talking to the crowd from time to time. The crowd regularly showed their appreciation for the performance. It was interesting to hear what Roger told us was a new song. It sounded to me like a new verse of Another Brick In The Wall. Hence, I have named the track Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2.5)… [Ed: At the Dime site, LeChti mentioned that the song was played during the second half of the European tour in 2011.]

I am quite happy with how the recording turned out. The H2 Zoom is a really handy little unit. To not have to fiddle around with external mics and battery boxes and still get a top quality audience recording is just a dream come true.

Lineage:
Zoom H2 (44.1kHz/16 bit) > Sound Forge Pro 10.0 (split tracks - 44.1kHz/16 bit and some fix) > TLH > flac level 6

  6. The Australians are not bad with digital recorders - there is IMHO an even better sounding recording from the Australia 2012 tour from Sydney floating around. You can find it here:

But beware - it takes forever to download, being in FLAC format.
In keeping with what Tom says above, I have also downloaded a lot of these shows, and most of them are simply amazing - as is the quality of recording people make these days. Thanks a lot for the show.
