TALKING HEADS
Fear Of Music - Early Mix [no label, 1CD]

Rough mixes? Excellent soundboard.

At the beginning of June 2012, music collector Hans Devente, aka Madtaper, shared this tape on his blog. Edited from the original cassette, Hans ripped the tracks to a single WAV file.

CurtisEFlush got copy of the tracks and shared them on Demonoid.

CurtisEFlush noted: “I applied slight noise reduction, split the tracks, cut out a few gaps of silence, converted to FLAC… Hans has been kind enough to allow me to repost my edited versions here.”

Thanks to Hans Devente and CurtisEFlush for sharing the tracks.

These tracks are no longer available for sharing.

  3. Why this is ASTONISHING! Wonderful stuff! Wasn’t expecting that!
Thank you SO much……I am used to poor quality boots of the ‘Heads’ and thought I had [almost] everything including a DAT of the MLITBOG 1 & 2 but this early mix of a seminal album is little short of miraculous!
    STUNNING!

  11. Thank-you. This is so good, it brings into question how good the final released (stodgy) mix was. Where can we the wavs?

  12. I will post here in hopes you read this Mr Devente. Please post your concerts on DIMEADOZEN! The tracker is private and can’t be seen in a web search. The nazis that erased your blog can’t do it there!!! You start off
with limit of 20 uploads, but it can go up to 40. I am sure that people will host your files once they are posted. In case you have more than 20. Some of your XTC concerts live there, the ones done on your deceased Dragon—RIP—-.
I have a Nakamichi BX-300 little brother to the Dragon. Same specs, not as many fancy buttons to go wrong!! I replaced the rubber
wheel and it works fine now! I can remaster tapes if you want. Though I know its long shot!

Please post your concerts at DIMEADOZEN!!!
