All Along The Watchtower and Come On Sessions [no label, 1CD]

Sessions and outtakes. Excellent soundboard.

This compilation surfaced in February this year and a big thank you to hawkfan369 for sharing the tracks at Crosstown Torrents.

What some happy fans said over at Crosstown Torrents:

The Bob Terry Tapes were a treat, but this one tops it totally. Remember very well the first time I heard the take of ATW where Jimi plays the solo differently. It totally blew me away. Had my CD player on “repeat” with that track for days. And the Come On takes are even new to me! Guess it’s gonna be “repeat” again for the next few days. - Thunderbaas

The Great (one of the greats!) thing in this AATW session, is to hear Jimi being very happy, into working on it, and be honest and being so shy tellin “ho yeah, that was MY fault”… during a take… his Fault!! Ha ha ha great Jimi! - longjam

This really is outta sight. Been waiting for these takes to surface for many, many years. This really is a magnificent and ground breaking release. - jdthebrit

It amazes me, but some of the Come On outtakes were used as a filler on a Berkeley tape I obtained through a Dutch radio show back in the eighties. Never knew what I had it appears… But basically, I am overjoyed that new material still surfaces after so many decades… - Ezy Rider

  2. Great Hendrix set. Got Lifelines box set about 1992, along with 4 others, for free. Knew an employee that worked at Warner Bros.

  12. Come On[baby let the good times roll] is one of my favourite Hendrix cover tunes.
This was an Earl King song, a great singer, songwriter guitar player out of New Orleans. Check out his back catalog, some very fine funky stuff.
