Osaka 2012 [no label, 1CD]

Live at Osaka Chuo Taikukan (Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium), Osaka, Japan; August 17, 2012. Very good to excellent audience recording.

Fans of America and their brand of jangle pop might want to check out the group’s energetic and entertaining 2008 Chicago Soundstage show (click here to order the DVD). For a more current vintage, here is the group opening for The Beach Boys recently in Japan.

Thanks to tapers Tom & Jerry; the Naniwa Hot Brothers (sound editing); and to mickeyjaggar for sharing the show at Dime. The Wall of Sound Project.

  4. And as always…..thanks BigO for sharing all this great music at YOUR TIME AND EXPENSE. Even when we donate…its nothing compared to your actual expense.

  5. Even when we donateā€¦its nothing compared to your actual expense.

    now we have to donate?

By dearth on Aug 28, 2012

  6. Yes, donate. You haven’t been taking the music for free have you. Isn’t that the same as stealing?

By sking on Aug 29, 2012

  7. not if youre the entity known as d… never mind, u know who it is

By barth on Aug 29, 2012

  8. requests for donations are not new. and its not a ‘have to’ situation obviously. and yeah we know who u mean. all we have to do is look at your name to see who u are mocking and harassing still and yet again.

as for the ‘middle-of-the road disc jockeys’ material im ok with it (cept neil diamond) since its that era when musicians knew how to play and sing. what does william want? metallica megadeth and gwar? merciful fate and linkin park? or what? i know there are millions of those fans out there but there are also sites out there for that crap. i am glad this site offers a higher end selection of quality sounds. sure there are things that dont appeal to me so i ignore those and wait a day or two for something that does. its not the only site for finding rare music u know.

  19. why is this person allowed to hijack this forum?

By william ruppert on Aug 30, 2012

  20. i didnt harass u. i responded to something u said. u attacked the site and the music it posted. i responded to what u said. nothing i said to u was harassing in any way. i didnt attack u at all. read what i said again. read it carefully. u are accusing me of something i did not do.
no one is hijacking anything. why are u hijacking it? whats wrong with elton john csn and america? good grief!! if u dont like the music here.. there are other sites for downloading music. thats all i said to u. learn to read!!

By darth on Aug 30, 2012

  21. “there are other sites for downloading music.”

  22. Sybil, are you off your meds again?

By sking on Aug 30, 2012

  23. i havent been banned from any sites. i download from all the sites that i have ever wished to dl from. i dont know where u got that from. ive been dl’ing since around 04 and more importantly since 06. thats not very long. i have not had high speed very long. im sure u will come up with some really interesting proof of this accusation too now. its one thing to come up with a ticket stub to show that a show happened at a particular location on a particular date. thats good. i commend u for that. the obsession u must have put into that since the elton show was posted on here and my comment in order to prove me wrong must have been extraordinary because if u had this bit of proof u would have posted it immediately. imagine the hours invested. i sure dont have that umph. if only u could use your powers for good instead of evil.

    lol sking.

  24. lol sking.

hmmm pretty weird praising your own comment.

  25. “im sure u will come up with some really interesting proof of this accusation too now.”

ill show it when u show us your rock star photos

By barth on Aug 31, 2012

  26. its not my site to do that. but u made an accusation that i have been banned on sites. this isnt true. i havent been. now youre claiming i am sking? what are u talking about? its not that i dont have the desire to show my pics. i dont have the ability to. i have one pic of me with gene simmons. but thats not a pic i took of course. why should u backing up an accusation u made be dependant on me showing my photos? what does one have to do with the other?

By darth on Aug 31, 2012

  27. it is amazing how much effort some people will go to to not get along, esp on a site as spiritually rewarding as this one…who cares about rock star photos? but, i know lots of people who hear w/ their eyes…jai guru dev
