Heart Full Of Soul [Great Live Records GLR9101/02, 2CD]

Live at “Tor 3″, Dusseldorf, Germany; March 1991. (This show has also been listed by some as from Stockholm, Sweden.) Very good to excellent audience recording.

There is a bit of confusion over the location of this show because there is no information on the release other than “Recorded live in concert 1991″. A search on the net indicates that this bootleg is a rarity, probably because it is not widely circulated and probably because there aren’t many copies of the original boot going around.

For a while, Isaak was seen as the next Roy Orbison but from Wicked Game to movies such as Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and That Thing You Do!, and his own TV show, the singer-songwriter has managed and continues to chart his own path.

Click on the highlighted tracks to download the MP3s (192 kbps). As far as we can ascertain, these tracks have never been officially released on CD.

  2. Good, not great, recording. A little too quiet. That said, he’s one of my faves so another live show is never a bad thing. Thanks.

  3. For being an audience recording it is rather good indeed, but hey!…Chris’ voice deserves soundboard recordings…won’t bother to even go further than one track listening of this…are there any good soundboard recordings in the can???? somebody help please!

  4. I recall there being another CI show on here several months ago: soundboard quality - date and location are a mystery…

  7. This is a great recording for AUD (and 1991). Sounds a little distant during the quieter parts and in general Chris is a bit more “sedate” than other shows I’ve heard. He still kicks major butt, though! Thanks for sharing again, Big O!

As for this show being listed as Stockholm… what, the intro to “Wild Love” didn’t give everyone a MAJOR clue? Hello internet, are you even paying attention? ;)
