Vienna 2011 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Arena, Vienna, Austria; September 6, 2011. Very good to excellent audience recording.

First with The Dresden Dolls and now with The Grand Theft Orchestra, in February this year, Amanda Palmer blogged that she was working on a new album with the Orchestra. But back in September 2011 when Palmer performed in Vienna, she previewed four songs from the then forthcoming album: Want It Back, Lost, Massachusetts Avenue and Olly Olly Oxen Free. The new album, Theatre Is Evil, was released on September 7, 2012.

Thanks to joe2005 for sharing these tracks on Dime. This is what Joe wrote when he “reseeded” the show:

The first time I seeded this show on Dime I’ve read that Amanda Palmer didn’t want the show to be published, because some of the played songs would be on her new studio album. So I requested to delete the torrent from the tracker… This CD (Theatre Is Evil) is available now so I decided to share it again.
