ALICE COOPER
Goes To Chile 1995 [KTS 512, 1CD]

Live at the Teatro Monumental, Santiago, Chile; September 7, 1995. Liberated bootleg from video masters for TV broadcast. Incomplete show. Very good to excellent soundboard.

Happy Halloween… if there is Kiss, can Alice Cooper be far away?

Once again, spare a thought for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Here’s a comment by rgardien at socialmusic.fm: “Here’s a great sounding Alice show from the Last Temptation tour. It includes a rare performance of “It’s Me”, along with the usual Alice standards.”

  2. hey bigo, thanks! i didn’t have this alice show.

track 9 should be cleansed by fire not burn it down. it’s on the last temptation of alice. track 1 i put intro / under my wheels, and it’s gutter cat vs. the jets. not cats. it’s on school’s out. in the tag, it’s hey stupid which really is spelled right, but stoopid is how it is on the song title and album. as far as i can tell, everything else is correct. i’m going to play it all the way through now.

  3. hey bigo, in addition to the above, it should be i’m eighteen, track 5 is desperado not killer, on track 10 it should be go to hell / one can put either nightmare suite or devil’s food / steven / black widow. i like keying in the song titles. on track 11, it should be gutter cat vs. the jets / street fight / feed my frankenstein. on elected alice does call all his band members by dead and alive former presidents except jimmy degrasso so one can put band intros, if he or she wants to. it’s optional, but what i have is correct.

post more sun ra shows! a friend sent me all the 1978 toronto shows on 9 cd’s. it’s three shows. killer!!!!!!

    thanks,

  8. thanks dan c! seen alice 3x. mostly recently was in atlanta june 23 opening for iron maiden. i gotta tell you it was my least favorite of the three shows mainly cause the setlist was mostly hits. he was good, though, but it would have been nice to hear desperado or ballad of dwight fry. my favorite was alice show montgomery, al 10.7.09. i actually have it in my library. i wish i could find alabama theatre oct. 07.

btw, it’s actually the black widow.

  9. Ed,
I’ve seen him twice myself. LA Forum 1979, and Long Beach Arena 1987 w/Megadeath. I was going to see the Nightmare show in 1975…but I dont remember Alice coming to the San Francisco Bay area…Ballad of Dwight Frye was performed in1979–and was incredible. I’m sure you’ve heard or seen him playing it last year when the brilliant Steve Hunter was temporarily back in the band.

  10. Oops….my bad. Halo of Flies was the song on the most recent tour. Bugger. 1979 tour was Ballad of Dwight Frye, though….http://www.alicecooperechive.com/tourdates/index.php?date=madh

  11. hey dan, well you know bigo offered other alice cooper shows. definitely get whisky a go go. it’s a great one with several special guests on it. there was one from new orleans and i think portland. it was two partial shows on one boot called crescent city. then there was one from long island, ny, and two nightmare shows from inglewood, ca and providence, ri. i have 13 alice shows. before this santiago show, i got an older one from saginaw, mi. it’s a good one! i’ve been a fan, since jr. high school. ballad of dwight fry, desperado, and billion dollar babies are three of my favorite alice songs!!! when he comes to town or near by, me and my brother go. he mixes the setlist up pretty good. with maiden i think those were more warm up shows for him doing headlining shows cause more than likely the people there just knew the songs he played. the hardcore fans were disappointed. i know i was. i’m just not down with poison. school’s out, no more mr. nice guy and feed my frankenstein wouldn’t be my first selections to hear either. i love the dead was cool, though. i don’t recall halo of flies, dan c.
