Christmas Rocks! Extravaganza
Allen, TX 2012 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Allen Event Center, Allen, TX; December 16, 2012. Very good to excellent audience recording.

Here’s to a rockin’ rockabilly Christmas.

The Los Angeles Times calls it “a wildly eclectic party… featuring a rocked-up compendium of classic cuts from several eras in decades past, plus a sprinkling of Christmas standards tricked out in appropriately swingin’ settings… delivered with a punky verve whose sheer joy is nigh irresistible.”

Thanks to Whotapes, who recorded the show and shared it at Dime.

Whotapes noted:

Excellent show by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. I always enjoy these Chrstmas shows he does. I am very happy with how this recording came out. The lady on my right was a bit of a Whohoo screamer but mostly between the songs so not too distracting. I cut some of the Intro music (Burning Love) and Outro (Little Saint Nick) to keep in Dimes policy but it does not cut any of his music, just a very small bit of talking.
