Skip Weshner Show 1970 [no label, 1CD]

Live on the Skip Weshner Show, KRHM-FM, Los Angeles, CA; March 23, 1970. Very good to excellent FM broadcast.

Skip Weshner passed away in 1997 and these tapes were found among his belongings. They have been restored and shared among music fans. Weshner hosted a popular radio show on KRHM-FM in Los Angeles. This show took place just as Denver’s career was taking off.

Thanks to the person who shared this on the net in 2006.

  3. Does he talk about Flying while Drunk with this radio guy?

By Steff Yetley on Jul 4, 2013

  4. ^^ why would that be an issue? the autopsy made it clear he had not been drinking, and identified the probably cause of the crash.
so what pathetic misdemeanours are You into?
more to the point, what charitable or humanitarian work have you done to justify your otherwise worthless life?
the trailer-trash troll humour here is getting very tiresome, bigO :(

  5. Thanks for sharing, BigO. Love hearing the stars when they were young and hungry still…

  6. Thanks loads Big O!

This man has always been underated in my opinion, with terms like ‘mediocre’ & ‘middle of the road’ being thrown in his direction.

If all of these fools had even half of the soul that John Denver had, their systems would revolt at this alien body.

  7. This is a find!
I lived in the LA Area until 1972, and I frequently recorded Skip’ program. At least, I think it was Skip, the boxes are all labeled KRHM. Anyway, a few years back, dug out all my old reel to reel tapes, to see if I could re-record onto CD’s. No good. The oxide coating on the tape had just fallen off the mylar backing, all those wonderful tapes gone forever I thought. Then, I found this page!

    There is a god.
