“Enjoy Yourself”
Cophenhagen 2013 [no label, 2CD]

Live at Parken, Copenhagen, Denmark; August 11, 2013. Very good to excellent audience recording.

Roger Waters opens his Wall show with audio from an electrically-charged scene from the 1960 movie, Spartacus, whose chorus of “I am Spartacus” - a refrain from every man who stands up against injustice - is not totally unexpected from the former Pink Floyd member.

Responding to an attack by Rabbi Abraham Cooper on Waters about the Star of David being painted on the iconic Flying Pig at a recent Wall concert in Belgium, Waters wrote in an open letter posted at Facebook:

The Wall Show, so lamely attacked by you, is many things. It is thoughtful, life affirming, ecumenical, humane, loving, anti war, anti colonial, pro universal access to the law, pro liberty, pro collaboration, pro dialogue, pro peace, anti authoritarian, anti fascist, anti apartheid, anti dogma, international in spirit, musical and satirical.

It is not

Waters ended his open letter with this invite:

The Wall is reaching out to you and all the other Rabbi Cooper’s out there.

Come to the show!

Not everyone can physically attend Waters’ Wall shows. But they can listen and take part in it.

Thanks to Sohigh who recorded this show and shared it at Dime. Sohigh also added: “Great AUD recording, some whistlers, shouters and talkers. But at least, they did try to keep those outbreaks mostly between the tracks.”

  4. hey bigo, i think, i got the very first three roger waters wall shows you offered from chicago, toronto and london. i also have atlanta on two cd-r’s then i quit getting them. i’m sure they’re good, but i kind of doubt they’re that much different musically.

i’ll tell you alice in chains-bjcc concert hall, bham, al 4.30.13 has turned up in mp3 on guitar forum. well the show starts at dam that river. i really am starting to think nobody has them bones so i guess i’ll just free up some drive space and just download it. i was there, and it’d be cool to have.

is yes-bjcc concert hall, bham, al 7.19.13 on dime. if so, can you offer it? i was there too.

  5. Who needs yet another one of these shows? Given that Roger lip synchs most of the songs and that it’s finely choreographed to the split second, there is practically nothing to differentiate the shows. Only major deviation was when David Gilmour did his short guest spot.

The scary thing is, I know some people who have almost every show from these tours and get upset when odd shows don’t come into circulation. Strange.

  6. Willing to bet it’s the first time most of the fans in Copenhagen, Chicago, etc. actually ATTENDED a live performance of The Wall.

And, just maybe, the fans in Copenhagen would like a copy. “(i)was there, and it’d be cool to have.”

Anyone here ever watch a movie twice?

Thanks for the music, bigO. Keep it coming.

its not really worth it w/o roger to real floyd fans but there are some out there who would still want this if for no other reason than it is undoctored and it is sbd. i cant stand momentary lapse personally and even i dl’d this. even if i didnt see the show i would have tho.
