DAVID BOWIE
Another Stage [Black Eagle BE003/004, 2CD]

Live in Gothenburg, Sweden; June 4, 1978. Very good to excellent audience recording.

Thanks to the person who shared these tracks on the net in 2005.

Finally a release of the complete concert in Gothenburg 1978. For the first time is Stay, TVC 15 and Rebel Rebel available on disc. The sound quality is excellent and even better than on any earlier issues on vinyl or CD! The only sad thing is the cut in STAY, but it probably comes from the master tape? The excellent sound quality and the fact that this is the complete concert, makes this CD a true must! - Bassman

One of those boots where the cover picture is from a different era to the actual recording, I find that most annoying. Thankfully the content on this set makes up for that. Recorded live in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 4, 1978, we have the complete show in very good sound quality, with a few bonus tracks thrown in just as filler. - Savage Jaw

  4. bowie help needed here.
I never followed his career that closely, I was too caught up in other music at the time but I really like the song “changes”.
Did he continue to do this in concert later on or did he drop it from his setlists earlier on ?

  5. sluggo, changes was on bowies live album “a reality tour”, recorded in 2003 and released in 2004, according to allmusic.com. i use allmusic a lot for research on songs, bands, etc., and their album reviews and biographies are usually very good.

  8. From the title “Another Stage,” I figured it had to be a similar set to his “Stage” album, and I looked it up, and yep - “Stage” was recorded over three US concerts in April and May 1978, just a month before.

Doesn’t get good reviews, but I always liked it for driving around late at night in high school.
