DON EVERLY R.I.P. 1937 - 2021

Don Everly of the iconic rock ‘n’ roll duo the Everly Brothers died on August 21 at the age of 84 at his home in Nashville. The singer’s family told the Los Angeles Times through a spokesperson this Saturday that he had passed on that day. However, cause of death was not disclosed. His death comes seven years after he lost his brother Phil, with whom he formed the iconic rock ‘n’ roll duo that rocketed them both to stardom. ‘Don lived by what he felt in his heart,’ his family said in a public statement marking his death over the weekend. ‘Don expressed his appreciation for the ability to live his dreams… with his soulmate and wife, Adela, and sharing the music that made him an Everly Brother.’ - dailymail.co.uk

PHIL EVERLY R.I.P 1939-2014

On January 3, 2014, Phil Everly, a lifelong smoker, died in the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank at the age of 74. Phil died of complications from lung disease, his wife, Patti, told the Los Angeles Times. Phil Everly and his brother Don made up the Everly Brothers, one of the biggest pop acts of the 1950s and early 1960s. The pair had an onstage breakup in 1973 that led to a decade-long estrangement, but Phil later told Time magazine the brothers’ relationship had survived this. “Don and I are infamous for our split,” Phil said, “but we’re closer than most brothers,” the BBC reported. The Everly Brothers were elected to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in its first year, 1986, and they were given a lifetime achievement award at the Grammys in 1997.

  4. well this will fit on one cd with the last 3 trax on a 2nd. that is.. if u dont overburn. there are tv/fm/sbd shows out there i believe. i dont know if that 83 reunion at royal albert hall that is on vhs/dvd is also on cd but i know it wasnt put on lp or cd when it came out originally so i made my own audio tape of it. its a fabulous show so i highly recommend it.

there are 12 everlys items on sugarmeg with 2 from the 60s 2 from the 70s 2 from the 80s 2 from the 90s 2 from the 2000s and then this item here twice.

  5. Thanks Darth!

  6. Actually Darth, Passport Records released the reunion concert in 83 and it has passed around some second-rate labels you can find at flea markets and dollar stores. If you have links to the 05 or 60s shows those would be great. Maybe the one group I wish I could have seen in concert and did not. Very sad over this loss.

  9. For those who are interested, I found a 320kbps download (although it’s still a single file) for the 1963 Everly Brothers Show of the two at Sugarmegs referenced by darth. You will find the link on this page (with the highlighted EverlyBrothers 1963-09-23 TheOlympia Paris France): http://pastdaily.com/2013/01/24/the-everly-brothers-in-concert-at-the-olympia-paris-1963-nights-at-the-roundtable-mini-concert-edition/

  12. Interesting to see there are actual recodings of that concert. I was 15 years old, but I was there, helping the sound and light people, being a local resident of the surrounding neighborhood and just hanging out there before the gig. It was nice to hear them as I knew the songs from my mother’s tapes.

  16. Two Average Uns

    By U L E on Aug 23, 2021

  17. What’s average? I’ve got 8 1/2 hard , is that above average. Never had any complaints.

    By Yancy H on Aug 23, 2021

  18. 8 to 9 is well above average for white guys , small for most black dudes . An average black guy is around 10 , big is 13,plus and very fat . White guys cant measure up to blacks . I’m white and I love big black Dic . I’ve noticed that there is a lot of penis envy here , and for good reason.

By Rhonda on Aug 23, 2021

  19. I only date black dudes , I’ve never had one who had a Dic that wasn’t humongous. Plus they’ve got rhythm baby . They know how to work it .

By Rhonda on Aug 23, 2021

  20. What’s all this bullshit have to do with the everly brothers ?

By George on Aug 23, 2021

  21. Who knows, who cares??

By DD on Aug 23, 2021

  22. Nothing, George. We’re just assholes who want to fuck up things that other people enjoy. BigO doesn’t give a fuck, so we’ll never stop.

    btw… I LOVE penises!

    Twas me.
