  8. Thanks, BigO, looking forward to hearing what Suzanne Vega is up to these day.

Perhaps I should be ashamed of it, but I watch Norton’s show every week and I’ll look forward to seeing how Sheryl does, and the Musgraves ACL is already on the DVR schedule.

  10. not everyone is aware of a network of stations called national public radio but a headquarters is located in washington dc and they have various shows they record there including one called tiny desk concert. this month they had a suzanne vega one where she did 4 songs. they also had a pixies one where they did 3 songs. many times u can dl the shows audio and there is often videos as well and sometimes these make it to youtube. if u are a video collector u can dl the videos from there i suppose if they are there and if u know to look for them and so on. i dont know if all of them make it there or not. i tend to go to the actual npr site for the shows i want and either dl or record them myself.
in any event here is a link to some previous shows -

    http://www.npr.org/templates/archives/archive.php?thingId=92071316

i get a notice of all of them as they happen. the site also has full concerts. if u look on the top right area when u first get to the page u will see the option.

incidentally the pixies one has an otherwise unreleased song. i happen to feel that what makes a killer collection of boot recordings is the amount of high quality sbd fm tv derived audios in it. i guess if u have some audience recordings that are 8s thru 10s in quality they would quality too. but what better source than this? npr offers a great source for live rare unreleased performances. i was recording mountainstage performances since the 70s. most of those were from the bomhard theater in louisville ky. that happened every week for over 30 years and each show was several bands or artists and either an hour or two hours. i forget. there was also a tv version of it for a few years.
it was kinda like austin city limits but they only had one or two artists per show. theyve been around for 38 yrs now and theyre exclusively on tv.

  11. oops that should say qualify not quality. the suzanne vega tiny desk concert is just over 18mins. the date on it is 2-7-14. and since i happen to have mentioned the pixies one.. its just under 14mins and its from 1-31-14.
the 4 songs vega does are -
    “Luka”
    “Crack In The Wall”
    “I Never Wear White”
    “Tom’s Diner”
its just her and gerry leonard on guitar & bells. even tho the 3rd song above is a new song on her new album (just like the 2nd song) the leipzig show on this page didnt put a * next to it (track 11) to signify that it is on the new album. in the npr show she does 2 new and 2 old songs. which is nice.
i recommend going thru old shows to find others u can dl. they can be dl’d in seconds.
