HALL AND OATES
London 1990 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Town and Country Club, London, UK; September 5 (4?), 1990. Very good FM broadcast?

When it comes to blue-eyed soul, Hall and Oates at their peak were hard to beat.

Thanks to lilpanda for sharing the tracks at Dime.

lilpanda noted:

Can’t get much better than this, set wise. Lotsa hits, played by a crack band. Love em or hate em, Daryl and John were a machine. I always liked Starting Over and How Does It Feel, so for me, this is almost a best of. This is also, AFAIK, one of the few soundboard or FM performances of Hot Fun in the Summertime.

glasnostrd19 also commented:

a club gig from 1990 sounds very interesting. the 1979 boston show I posted a few years back is a club gig too, and they sounded good. after that it went from theaters to arenas in a hurry. they love them here in boston area. by this time, they were one of the biggest pop bands in the whole world. so thanks for sharing this anything but little band (at this point in time) lilpanda. some songs in here I haven’t heard before from them, and some others that they’ve sounded very good on before.

  9. guess i wont be proven wrong after all. damn a 29 yr old event and i havent seen that tape since the day i recorded it. i havent listened to it ever. only as i recorded it. i no longer have it of course.
i thought the park was on an island just off the main land in a small body of water but that may be because of something i heard one of the dj’s say during or before the brdcst. i cant thank u enough jdallenx.

as for washing my mouth out.. id love to see u try that. im betting youre just a keyboard warrior with nothing more than typing muscles.
