Sweden 2014 [no label, 1CD]

Sweden Rock Festival, Norje, Sweden; June 5, 2014. Excellent webcast.

Formed in 1969, Uriah Heep released their 24th studio album, Outsider, in June 2014. The album featured new bassist Davey Rimmer. Former bassist Trevor Bolder had passed away in May 2013 after suffering from pancreatic cancer. He was 62.

Uriah Heep have been playing gigs and releasing albums since 1970. Just like the good wine they’ve been able to produce in the recent years three strong records in a row: Wake The Sleeper (2008), Into The Wild (2011) and the latest, Outsider, issued in June 2014. The sound is clearly updated but all the three records share the common Heep sound (after all they’re alive and kicking): killer riffs by the legendary Mick Box (on guitar) and powerful Hammond organ by Phil Lanzon (who’s in charge since 1986)… At this point if their career, the band… rather concentrate on their Heep sound which is something they’re great at and for that we couldn’t thank them enough. - progarchives.com

  3. if anyone hasnt heard uriah heep doing ‘hold your head up’ they do a killer version. btw.. i saw them the first time in 74 at a bway theater on 50-51st street between bway and 8th ave. i think that theater was called the uris. they had some amazing concerts there. i think thats the same place that gentle giant played the following year but i am not positive. i know barry manilow did a month or two worth of shows there back in the late 80s or early 90s. about 10 blocks south jackson browne did shows in another bway theater. there were some mid 80s shows done on bway by jerry garcia. course the clash did bway but not at an actual bway theater. very few broadway theaters are actually on bway. most of them are on the side streets from 39th thru 54th altho theres a couple more as far north as 77th.
the good thing about bway theaters is many of them are actually built for sound and while not always intimate they are still smaller than arenas and stadiums. its not the bottom line or the lone star cafe but its only a little worse.
radio city is just east of bway and is considered the largest theater on the planet.

  5. glen it’s called “off Broadway” shows…Theatres…

guess you didn’t know that since you didn’t use that word one time in your essay of “bway” circus clown boy…

14 years old going into Manhattan to catch all of these “bway” concerts…

wow you must’ve tricycled across the Brooklyn Bridge quite a bit back then bozo glenny eh…?

  6. no i didnt claim uriah heep were friends.
no the theaters that are on side streets off bway are not considered off bway. theyre all bway theaters.
off bway are shows / theaters that are not quite bway level. its a totally different specification. its not so much where the theaters are located that gets the description of off bway.
broadway shows are the ones where millions of dollars are spent and invested. those theaters are mostly from 38th street up to 54th streets as i said even tho theyre not on the actual street called broadway. there are only a few theaters that are actually on bway.
the theater where letterman is recorded is the ed sullivan theater. it is on bway and its across the street from another theater where les miserables is/was. that theater is also on bway. but any theater that is south of there down to times square even if not on the actual street called bway is still a bway theater. the street with the most theaters on it is 45th thenn on 44th u will find more. theres a couple on 46th and 47th etc. these are all bway theaters.
when i lived in bklyn.. i was up to the age of 4-5 yrs old. i didnt ride any tricycles across any bridges u idiot.
i think my first bway show was in 68 or 69. altho i saw some shows that werent necessarily bway shows they were pretty major things at the time.
from 1980-95 i saw almost every bway show and over 50 off bway shows.
but what i was talking about above was concerts that took place in the bway theaters that normally housed bway shows not concerts. leave it to our resident idiot to feel the need to do this once again. sigh.

  10. Thanks, Big O. Wow, these guys really cook, just like back in the 70s!

    Fun stuff.

  11. i didnt paste anything as i said.. i typed everything i wrote freehand. its pretty obvious too. nothing i posted was pasted from anywhere. u can tell if u look at the way i type. surely if i was copied and pasted it wouldnt be written the way i type. i type the way i do intentionally.
i also have not ripped anyone off. the link u offer there has someone posting to a newsgroup that has never dealt with me in any form whatsoever. she just jumped on a bandwagon for the fun of it. she was a friend or acted as one at one time in a chat room. she sent cookies or something to me once. she wanted a relationship with me and i told her it wasnt plausible since she was in minnnesota i believe and i was so far away. i had no intention of moving to her and she clearly wasnt moving to me. she took it badly and she decided to vent that way. she never collected music or cards so she never got ripped off or had any trades or deals with me in any form. she certainly didnt get ripped off but is kinda doing what u do. acting like she knows things that she has no clue about. just spreading rumors that she has no clue about. and keep in mind the postings that u link to are from jan / feb 2006. thats over 8 nearly 9 years ago. and theres literally no validity to them.
i kept a list of over 167 people at that time that i had personally had dealings with to prove to anyone interested that i had never ripped anyone off and had never screwed anyone on any trades. i also had been on ebay since june of 97 without any problems. nothing stops someone from posting lies and rumors on newsgroups and other areas of the net where there are no monitors to verify facts and truth. just like here where u repeatedly make claims like u do. i cant stop u from saying the stupid shit u say. and it doesnt matter if u lie or not. u can make up all the bogus stories u wish. im not trying to get anyone here to trust me and / or trade with me here. so im not worried that much if u really have anyone here convinced that im a rip off or scammer. if they are stupid enough to believe u simply because u say it then thats fine. collecting rare and live music is easy enough without having to trust people thru the us mail now adays so no one really has to risk sending anything and worry about if theyll get anything back. i surely didnt obtain a collection like i have because i screwed people over 1 at a time. i had to get people to trade repeatedly with me and no one would do that unless i came thru on trades.
if i ripped people off they surely wouldnt trust me again. why would they? it makes no sense. not only that but i also sold on ebay from june 97 thru july 02 without any problems.
youre wasting your time. i dont know who u are trying to convince or warn. i dont trade anymore. the few ppl i do deal with are people who dont have computers or dont deal with the internet so your harassment here isnt affecting me.

the stories i tell about my past with regards to meeting famous people of film music tv.. etc.. are not lies. i dont know why u have a problem with it. i dont know what is going on with u but when i talk about my past and the stuff i did from my childhood up thru age 35 or so.. i dont know why this upsets u so much. i try to relate it to the subject at hand such as the concerts that we have here in one way or another and i have no reason to lie about it.
i took pics of the people i met for 17 yrs or so. i shot concerts as well but it wasnt my main hobby. im not sure if its jealousy on your part or what.. or if u just need someone to attack to make yourself feel better about the pathetic life u have had but i really wish u would find something else to do.
