Australia 2014 [no label, 1CD]

Live at the Civic Theatre, Newcastle, Australia; May 17, 2014. Fairly good audience recording, slight echo.

Here is someone you don’t normally find being shared or torrented but if you are into ’70s and early ’80s pop, songs such as You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, When I Need You and More Than I Can Say were radio staples. (Though born in Sussex, UK, Sayer became an Australian in 2009.)

Thanks to woffDLV for sharing the show at Dime.

  2. Under-rated artist. Happy to see this. One would hope that Leo would tour the US at some point.

  3. while i like sayer.. id really like a david essex show. i saw him do a tv performance of a song called rollercoaster maybe about 24 yrs ago or so… and thought it would be so nice to see him do a full live set. i met him once coming out of a bway show on 45th st. i dont know what show it was. but that would have been around mid 80s.

  4. I agree with darth! Any David Essex about???

Having seen them both in their heyday, David Essex by far the more entertaining.

  8. i havent checked back in a few days so the complaints must have been deleted that danc is referring to. i dont see them. surely hes not referring to anne’s posting as its not exactly a complaint about the download itself. surely the sexual preference of the singer / artist isnt being bashed.. is it? anne are u seriously trying to suggest that u have a problem with that? perhaps u would prefer more queen or judas priest or tom robinson or nsync? perhaps tim curry? ricky martin? george michael? elton john? melissa etheridge? culture club or at least boy george?

  13. anne u dont have to like this kind of music. it isnt just for u. this site isnt only here for u. have u considered that? seriously. have u? it would be interesting if there was a sort of dl counter to know exactly how many times these songs had been dl’d so we would know how many ppl were interested in this kind of music vs your kind whatever that is. dont u like the idea that all types of music are offered here? your kind and my kind and other peoples kind? isnt that fabulous? there are sites that offer only metal or only rap or only punk etc. i know a site that seems to offer only 60s and 70s obscure folk and rock and trippy and jam type and obscure and blues ish stuff. its a killer site but more than 90% of it is all official and most if not all of it is out of print albums. majority is lps that are not likely on cds. some are probably on cd but not all for sure. i wont say the name cuz the site keeps disappearing. in fact im not even sure i know where it is right now. ha.
