Philadelphia 1986/Holland 1987 [no label, 1CD]

Live at WMMR 93.3 Studio 4, Philadelphia; December 8, 1986. Live at the Vreedenburg, Utrecht, The Netherlands; January 15, 1987. Very good FM broadcasts.

This was one of guitarist Robert Fripp’s more interesting “side projects” (between the Crims). - music fan glasnostrd19

One of the more impressive facets of Fripp is his sheer candidness. “When I read interviews with old King Crimson bandmates, they suggest that the difficulty lies with me,” he offers in his West Country lilt. “And I agree with that. I’m a very difficult person to work with, because in King Crimson there was a founding statement to be honoured, going back to ’69. And if what is available fails to meet what I see as a responsibility to the larger Crimson, then that gap has to be met by someone. And it would fall to me. So it’s not a comfortable place.” - Robert Fripp interview with The Guardian, 2014

  10. This is incredible - the quality is so clean and pristine - a far cry from the days when I would pay stupid money for SHITTY audience recordings just because it was something either new or something I didn’t have. You guys have enriched my music collection beyond belief, and I can’t thank you enough!
