BOB DYLAN
Nagoya 2016 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Century Hall, Nagoya, Japan; April 15, 2016. Fairly to very good audience recording.

On May 20, 2016, Bob Dylan will release his 37th studio album, Fallen Angels. Like its predecessor, Shadows In The Night (2015), it’s also a covers album.

Thanks to SPOT; and to Coops2009 for sharing the show at Dime.

Coops2009 noted:

A stereo audience recording by SPOT. First show from my man whilst still in Japan, struggling his way through the bars and resturants of the far east. A dirty job? That’s you man, he leaves no bottles full in his  efforts to bring us the best. He has the usual doubts and, as usual, they are unfounded.

  2. Don’t complain. At least he doesn’t have a Mel Torme fixation.

    WTF?

  4. Thanks for this. The Bard in the shadow of his career, imagines himself Sinatra and sings what he wants to, and not what the audience wants to hear. Things have changed! The days of ever changing setlists have gone the way of ducktails anjd zoot suits, although Bob owns a closet full of both no doubt. Looking forward to his return stateside and will be seeing him this summer for sure. You never know…

  5. Many thanks. His voice is good, the songs (even the ones he didn’t write) are good, too… no complaints and looing forward to hearing Fallen Angels. And, oh yes, RIP Prince. A sad loss to music.
