RAINBOW

Thanks to sunvenusmoon for sharing these tracks at Dime.

sunvenusmoon noted:

Fresh transfer from a analog cassette received in trade. Not an audience recording. No dialogue between songs (edits). This show has the “Purple Haze Riff” Ritchie played on 1976-12-09, so it matches up with that show. A little hissy sounding, no eq used whatsoever, overall.

It turns out tracks 5, 6 and 7 are from the night before on December 8, 1976 in Osaka, so this recording is compiled from two nights’ soundboard.

Lineage:
Analog Cassette > CD-r
> EAC WAV > FLAC 8

  2. This will get me partially thru my workload Christmas Eve I guess it’s an advantage having high tech gifts. They come pre-assembled. Saw Rainbow just once and they Cracked the walls at University of Denver Colliseum. I wonder if anyone tried to talk Ritchie into doing a Christmas song?
Or if he contemplated it himself? I will leave that to a better historian than I!

    Season Greetings
