Soweto 2010 [no label, 1CD]

2010 World Cup Kick-Off Celeb Concert, live at the Orlando Stadium, Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa, June 10, 2010. Very good soundboard, from TV broadcast.

There’s nothing better than a good party to get into the World Cup mood, so here’s Shakira and Alicia Keys getting things off to a rousing start.

  7. I’d love to see the full BLK JKS show up here - one of the best bands around these days.

By Jeremy Shatan on Jun 18, 2010

  8. @Jeremy

BLK JKS only played those two songs. In the live show after they finished Mzabalazo you could hear the audience singing the chorus. That’s all that’s missing here.
Most of the performers only did one or two songs. The more well known (but less interesting) acts did more.

  11. Alicia Keys was first class. She is a gifted musician and she outshone the other acts. I could have listened to her all night. She’s natural and talented and does not need loads of dancers prancing around as she holds here own.
