Hyde Park 2010 [no label, 1CD]

Live at Hyde Park, London, June 27, 2010. Very good soundboard, extracted from YouTube HD feed.

And so it came to pass that overrated England were booted out of the World Cup… not kicked out but crashed out big time. But for those who want or need to do some flag-waving, here’s Paul McCartney before 50,000 fans at the Hard Rock Calling London 2010 gig.

As Rob Garratt noted in the Express: “Opening with a medley that fired into the Wings stomper Jet, the crowd only really woke up with All My Loving, dealt more bite than the Fab Four’s original… The crowd’s choir chords stirred when McCartney got behind the piano for The Long And Winding Road and Let It Be, but best of all was an acing, solo acoustic run through civil rights plea Blackbird, and a tribute to deceased Beatle George Harrison with Something… And while the Hyde Park gig was little more than a tribute to the band and times that created them – who would you rather see play a string of Beatles hits than Paul McCartney?”

  8. Dave C. Macca’s voice has sounded better.
Yes, I think that’s why (he) chose to do a more rock oriented set. (He) realized that (he) could not get away with doing Paul’s voice. I guess the magic elixer had been cut off. Or the curse of Hyde park, such as what happened to Blind Faith their first live concert held there where Steve Winwood couldn’t sing either. As revealed by George’s hospital tapes! - Paul isnt Paul, as the real Paul died in a car crash Nov 1966. The six degrees of separation proves it! You see, Lurch of Addams Family fame was in the Band on the Run promo film (Band on the Run, cant let anyone find out, we’re Hyde-ing the truth. Now why have Lurch? because he was Rock in the original Star Trek episode where the famous line “This - is how you make an android!” was uttered, an obvious factoid proving that this “Paul” isn’t real, but a fake. They even have a fake “Kirk” on the show. Androids dont eat, and that explains why this “Paul” hasn’t eaten since Nov 1969! Many other quasi-factoids are apparent, such as why the fake “Paul” did this concert in his real voice. It is being tested by the EU to see if his real voice could reveal that it doesn’t match Paul’s. This also explains why the recent trip to good ole USA to see Obama. It really wasnt to get an award, that was just for show so that people would still believe that (he) is still Paul. No, he needed Obama’s secret information on how he got to be president despite not being born here. You see, Paul needs an exit strategy in case anyone ever pays any attention to the internet ads about George’s deathbed confession that Paulie has been gone since 1966! NOW EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION TO MY LAST 3 CHARACTERS IN THIS SENTENCE;>)
