PHIL SPECTOR
Rare Masters [Green Apple, CD1/2 of 4]

Sessions and outtakes.

Thanks to Captain Acid for the remaster and for sharing the tracks at Dime.

Captain Acid noted:

i did phase, level and speed correction (where needed). In the end i did new EQ. Also, some tracks on disc 4 had music just on left channel, i fixed that too now you have it in glorious MONO. This collection seems to be very hard to find these days, and now it sounds better than ever. Enjoy.

Phil Spector, who transformed pop with his “wall of sound” recordings, had worked with the Beatles, the Righteous Brothers and Ike and Tina Turner. He produced 20 top 40 hits between 1961 and 1965. His production methods influenced major artists including the Beach Boys and Bruce Springsteen. His life was ultimately blighted by drug and alcohol addiction, and he all but retired from the music scene during the 1980s and 1990s.

In February 2003, actress Lana Clarkson was found dead at his house in Alhambra, California with a bullet wound to her head. Clarkson, who was known for her work in the sword-and-sorcery genre and starred in films including Barbarian Queen, had met Spector hours earlier at a nightclub. Spector claimed the shooting happened when Clarkson “kissed the gun” - but his trial heard from four women who claimed Spector had threatened them with guns in the past when they had spurned his advances. Following an initial mistrial, in 2009 Spector was convicted of second degree murder and given a sentence of 19 years to life. He died on January 16 at the age of 81 while serving his sentence. - BBC

  2. Terrible man, great artist. Grab these quickly if you want them; his estate will likely try and release this stuff commercially.

  4. Hence the anger management issues. Big Un envy .

    By U L E on Dec 2, 2021

  5. Gee , I guess having a small dik can turn you into a murderer. I heard that he fired a pistol close to John Lennon’s Head during a temper tantrum. He also locked his wife Ronnie Spector / Bennett of the Ronnettes inside their house for weeks at a time . Of course he ended up murdering someone. What a nutcase .

    By T J on Dec 2, 2021

  6. Ronnie Bennett was black, so you know she was craving big diks ,most of Phil’s women were probably hunting hung guys who could satisfy. No wonder he locked her in the house . I guess a small dik can make you lose your mind .

    By T J on Dec 2, 2021

  7. Many thanks!

By Stinky on Dec 3, 2021

  8. The little murdering twerp had a little prick . It figures . No way I would fuck him , small pricks are pathetic.

By Dee Dee Longley on Dec 3, 2021

  9. Phil had a little noodle in his trousers I heard. No wonder the ladies all left him .

By ELU on Dec 3, 2021

  10. Dee Dee dont talk about Phil that way. I would love to blow him and too his salad

By Mark on Dec 3, 2021

  11. Derrick my friend, its too bad we cant talk sports like we used too. Its all fucked up here and in sports. The owners strted a lockout. Its all about making those benjamins

  12. Rumor has it The AntiChrist gots a Lil Un

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

  13. So Phil threatened at least 6 people with a gun, before killing one of them? What, did he have a courtesy card from the police?

By buster on Dec 3, 2021

  14. He did, buster- he was white. Duh.

By DD on Dec 3, 2021

  15. I tossed Phil’s salad once, Mark. It was nothing special.

He put his gun to the back on my head to force me to let him fuck my ass with a strap-on. Little did he know I would have gladly submitted, I always do!

By Derrick on Dec 3, 2021

  16. That means U L E would never be able to get away with that.

By DD on Dec 3, 2021

  17. Get away with what, you stupid queer?

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

  18. Only first one me . Last two both fakes

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

  19. Anti , I still watch sports . Old games on YouTube. No modern shit . Watched the 1970 NFC championship game and super bowl 5. Du ane Thomas was a awesome running back . Should have been a hall of famer. Too bad he self destructed and was out of the league in 4 years

By Derrick on Dec 3, 2021

  20. Coons today can’t shut the fuck up wit all the noise and stupid celebrations after every play . Thomas hardly ever said a word . In the Cowboys 1971 super bowl title year , he wouldn’t talk to reporters,, even his teammates. He should have been super bowl 6 mvp ,but they screwed him and gave the award to Roger Staubach

By Derrick on Dec 3, 2021

  21. Sure miss the way athletes acted back then . After a touchdown the players just handed the ball to the ref . Even the coons was gentlemen. Players. got no class today

By Derrick on Dec 3, 2021

  22. Only first four me . Last all fakes

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

  25. All my future posts will be under my Dee Dee Longley name. Any others will be fakes

    By U L E on Dec 3, 2021

  26. Never thought much for his “wall of sound” thing, which in my opinion has made some of the great songs in George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass,to sound rather unpleasant to my ears, but it seems that many others like it. R.I.P anyway.

By Theo on Dec 3, 2021

  27. Twernt me on last two , more fakes
