JACKSON BROWNE
Oklahoma City 1983 [no label, 2CD]
Live at The Myriad, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; August 23, 1983. Very good audience recording.
Thanks to mjk5510 for sharing the show at Dime.

Known Faults:
- Hold On Hold Out: an almost seamless splice toward the end.
This is the last show of a four-shows-in-five-days taping trip I took in 1983, taping David Bowie twice (Austin on the 19th and Dallas on the 20th) and Jackson Browne twice (Dallas on the 21st and OKC on the 23rd).
This show is uncirculated in the torrent era directly from my master tapes and I don’t believe has ever been torrented here in any form though I could be mistaken.
This is an excellent capture from the first row of the lower balcony, two sections back from the stage.
I wasn’t a big fan of the ‘Lawyers In Love’ release so wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy these shows. These were really great shows and this is a feel this is a terribly under-represented and under-appreciated tour even with a heavy dose of the latest release (which were much better live than on record).
The sound mix at these shows was tremendous and went a long way in making this show a joy to capture on tape. The new songs sounded much better than I had anticipated and the older songs were simply breathtaking.
