Rarities [no label, 1CD]

Deleted tracks.

This was taken from various obscure deleted 3-inch and 5-inch CD singles. Originally, it also included deleted film soundtrack CDs. However, Sting’s film tracks can be found on My Funny Valentine: Sting At The Movies. - Philip Cohen

While fans are still trying to recover from Sting’s Symphonicity tour and/or the Live In Berlin CD/DVD or Blu-Ray, here’s a little something to tie you over. In the meantime, chill out to the reggae-ish This Cowboy Song.

Thanks to Phil for tracking down and sharing the tracks.

Note: A longtime music fan, Philip Cohen was a contributor to the now-defunct ICE Magazine and compiled the boxsets for The Yardbirds, The Small Faces, Humble Pie and Nice.

Click on the highlighted tracks to download the MP3s (these are high quality MP3s - sample rate of 224 kbps). As far as we can ascertain, these tracks have already been deleted or are out of print.

  2. Thanks a lot for these tracks so hard to find. Will supplement my Sting collection immediately :-)

  3. So what is so rare about “Everybody Laughed But You”?
It is on the ‘Ten Summoner’s Tales’ CD, and on the ‘If I Ever Lose My Faith In You’ CD-single it states “from the A&M album ‘Ten Summoner’s Tales’”

  5. If it was available it wouldn’t be on this site.

  6. Everybody Laughed wasn’t included on US pressings of 10 Sums Tales discs, but certainly was elsewhere. Singles also include another version called January Stars featuring the identical music track with completely different vocals… I think the January Stars version works better. Thanks for sharing these, BigO.

  7. A good rare Sting is “Nada Como El Sol” in Spanish and Portuguese. We’ll be together is the best track, better than in English. As good as the Peter Gabriel German releases. Check ‘em out! Thank you for this.
