The Yardbirds - Little Games Sessions Tapes [Phil Cohen Collection 2CD] Little Games was released in 1967 and features Jimmy Page on guitar. "These rough mixes were made during the compiling of the EMI 2-CD set, The Little Games Sessions And More (Capitol/1992)." - Phil Cohen. Ex SBD stereo.

The Yardbirds - Live Yardbirds with Jimmy Page [Mooreland Street 1CD] Live at Anderson Theatre, New York, Mar 30, 1968. This is a reissue of a 1971 Epic release, Yardbirds Live. This 2000 release is also deleted. Removed by request of Jimmy Page. Ex SBD.

The Yardbirds - Live Yardbirds Featuring Jimmy Page [Lost Diamonds 80004-2 1CD demonoid 1809138] Live at Anderson Theatre, New York, Mar 30, 1968. This late 2008 release is also limited. "Ok, this is not the tape sourced Mooreland reissue from 2000 (which was approved by the other living Yardbirds members). This is an 2008 unauthorized Mexican CD. It doesn't have the two soundcheck tracks, so it's likely not sourced from the Mooreland and thus not an essential release. Not to bash the uploaders work, but just a warning for those who expect to get the best possible quality." - Prof Stoned, March 2009. Ex- SBD stereo. Another fan tested one track and it appears this is MP3 sourced.

The Yardbirds - Cumular Limit Sessions: ONE TRACK ONLY [no label 1CD tradersden 30623] The Yardbirds studio recording of Knowing That I'm Losing You [Columbia Studios, New York, Apr 4, 1968] which was later recorded by Led Zeppelin as Tangerine. Ex- SBD stereo. Time 2.55m

The Yardbirds - Los Angeles 1968/San Remo 1968 (no label, 2CD dime 388182) live at at the Shrine Exposition Hall, Los Angeles, CA; May 31, 1968 and June 1, 1968. "On May 31-June 1, 1968, the Yardbirds played two consecutive nights in Los Angeles, CA. The shows were taped by David Cole. The second night recording is obviously incomplete, but I find it interesting the amount of variation between the two nights. The highlight for me is their cover of the Velvet Underground's "I'm Waiting for the Man." With so few live Yardbirds recordings, this is the only known version. In 1979, the taper released a 3 LP bootleg box set (Last Rave Up In L.A.) with the highlights of the shows; basically every song minus the duplicates played both nights. Tapes of both shows including duplicates also circulate. These were made into a CD on the Goldtone label with inferior sound quality.

This material has been seeded previously at Dime from tape source but I like the sound of the vinyl bootleg 3 record set better. Since it is incomplete, I have filled in the missing portions from the previous torrent. All tracks have been carefully remastered and edited for the best possible sound, but it's still fairly bad." - watchit, Jan 2012. Good AUD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY

Yes - TheTooleMan Presents: Wembley Matinee 1978 [TooleMan 2CD Torrent: 51652] live at Wembley, London, Oct 28 1978, matinee show. VG AUD stereo.

The evening performance has been widely circulated from the BBC broadcasts, both pre- and post-FM versions. There have also been one or two recordings of the evening show which were labeled as the afternoon show.

This is the real thing - possibly the only tape of the matinee in existence! Original audience tape by Steve Darton was provided by Mick Dillingham. The recording sounds great and is complete except for the last minute of the big medley, which was lost when side one of the tape ran out. I gave it a nice quick fade to make it less shocking.

The audience is not very talkative between songs and is attentive during them, except for some rube yelling at Rick Wakeman during Awaken. Still not too distracting.

Yes - Wembley Arena 1978: Pre-FM master reels [no label 1CD Traders Den 19332] live at Wembley Arena, London, England, UK, Oct 28, 1978, evening show. There's a constant background ticking. It starts at 0:40, then it becomes more evident at 0:50, and it continues till 2:20. It is on the CD-R that was copied from the reel to reel master.

Yes - The Three Album Tour 2013 (no label 2CD dime 461767) live at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, Mount Pleasant, Michigan, August 10, 2013. CD1 is Close To The Edge plus extras. CD2 is The Yes Album plus extras. Recorded by: ravingandrooling; Mastered by: MOB with Artwork by: Moonwall. Tapers notes: The band was electric from the first notes of CTTE and the sound quality was great. Crystal clear highs with bass that you can feel. The mix seemed very well balanced, which has not always been the case on this tour. I ran two separate recording rigs but chose to share the DPA 4061 version as these mics really shine in the right outdoor setting. From my perspective this is the best capture I have gotten from the four shows I attended on this tour. Enjoy!

Mastering notes:
Lowest frequencies were attenuated in order to avoid too much "booms" when Alan kicks his bass drum. Some other frequencies were slightly increased to be able to clearly hear Chris notes. For the high frequencies, some EQ was performed as well, because the cymbals on the rough recording had too much "ringing" sound. Levels adjustment was a big part of the remastering process, applauses and crowd noises being at higher volume than the music sometimes. Between songs, it was easy to correct. However, it was much more challenging to attenuate (manually) the audience clapping during songs. I'm quite happy with the results, this recording can now be enjoyed LOUD, DEEP and CLEAR! Frank Zappa - We're Only in it for the Money Outtakes [no label 1CD Torrent: 82278] "This was discovered by a past aquaintance of mine in the dustbin at RykoDisc. Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention - We're Only In It For The Money 1968: May 2014 UPGRADE (Uncensored Original Mix by soniclovenoize 1CD piratebay 11273181) This  is my own unique edit of Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention's We're Only In It For The Money that utilizes all original 1968 stereo mixes, but reinstates all the originally censored material, thus creating a completely uncensored original mix.

Frank Zappa famously said, when accepting an award for his third album We're Only In It For The Money, "I prefer that the award be presented to the guy who modified this record, because what you're hearing is more reflective of his work than mine."  Although he was exaggerating a bit, it is certainly true that much of Zappa's groundbreaking and cutting edge humor was softened or even literally removed for commercial release.  Numerous pieces of the album were edited to appease late 60s "decency standards", thus beginning Zappa's heavily-championed cause for artist's Freedom of Speech and the battle against censorship and the suits who perpetuate it.  For decades, fans could only enjoy what the label thought would appease social standards at the time, rather than what the artist intended. Luckily throughout the years, there were a handful of reissues and international repressing of the album that did reinstate many of the dubious censored pieces.

What I have done here is take the best master available of the original 1968 stereo mix (which reinstates all the minor censored parts that were internationally restored via reissues) and replaced the four remaining censored bits with their uncensored equivalents from a number of source, thus creating a completely uncensored and completely stereo version of We're Only In It for The Money.  The spoken Velvet Underground line in "Concentration Moon" was mixed to mono and panned to 10:00 to match the original mix; the result sounds completely authentic as there were no 1986 overdubs underneath the edit.  The replaced verses of "Mother People" and "Harry, You're A Beast" also fit perfectly, and are for the first time here in full stereo.  I even went ahead for extra credit and uncensored the backwards bit in "Hot Poop" for any anal-retentive listeners out there!

This copy is also far better in terms of accurate track indexes and has a corrected setlist to match. The Sheik Yerbouti performance notation: This show yields 2 performances that were subsequently issued in drastically edited form on Sheik Yerbouti. The first being 'Rat Tomago' in all it's unedited glory, which appears as part of 'The Torture Never Stops' performance. The second being 'The Shiek Yerbouti Tango' in all it's unedited glory, which appears as part of 'Little House I Used To Live In' performance. It is indeed fascinating to listen to these selections in their original context and lengthy form. Tonight's show also highlights much of the material that would eventually come out over a year later with the release of Sheik Yerbouti. Hence, a superb performance of the developing material. The SY album was finally released on March 3, 1979 as the first release on Zappa Records. Most of the basic tracks were recorded from the live shows of this very band from this very tour whose journey began on 1977 09 09 at State University, San Diego, CA, USA and stretched 6 months spanning 10 countries through 1978 02 28 Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK. It should be noted that the titles "The Cucamonga Era", "Show & Tell", "Soup & Old Clothes" and "Hotel Dixie" (in that order) are real Zappa titles in that he planned to use them in his own 12-record set The History & Collected Improvisations of Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention. Those plans were never realized, and the box should not be confused with the 10-LP boot box so named. "Soup & Old Clothes", of course, was later used for a solo in the Shut Up & Play Yer Guitar set. Warts & All was an album that never came out from around 1980 (and later the working title for the Lost Episodes). "Night of the Iron Sausage" was a track title on the unreleased double-album version of Zoot Allures, and possibly a working title for the whole album.

The Zombies - R.I.P. 1969 (soniclovenoize reconstruction 1CD piratebay 11273153) This is a reconstruction of what would have been the final Zombies album, an intended 1969 release as a posthumous follow-up to their sleeper-hit Odessey and Oracle.  While all 12 albums tracks were collected in the box set Zombie Heaven in 1997 and then sequenced as originally intended as an official Japanese release in 2008, my reconstruction attempts to create a more well-rounded and cohesive album with a new sequence that more evenly distributes the posthumous 1969 Argent-led tracks with the overdubbed 1964-1966 Blunstone-led outtake tracks, as well as using alternate mixes of both.  Also through creative editing I was able to add more Colin Blunstone vocals to the album and less Rod Argent lead vocals.  In effect, my R.I.P. seems a bit less awkwardly anachronistic, and more a cohesive theoretical) baroque-pop follow-up to Odessy and Oracle.
